We feel very lucky to have someone like Catherine helping us with our chickens! We have used her chicken hotel (which includes pick up and drop off) and have also hired her multiple times to look in on our chickens while we are away. She collects eggs, feeds them treats, does a quick health check, and sends us pics. We also asked her for some pointers on how to interact with our (surprise) rooster. In addition to being responsive and organized, she’s also very knowledgeable and passionate about chickens!

Update: We asked Catherine to help us out again during a recent trip. As always, she was prompt, professional and goes above and beyond.
She also was there for me when one of my hens was sick. Her support was wonderful.

This was my first review. Catherine (the owner of Chicken Chores, LLC) responded to an ad I placed on Nextdoor for someone to help with our four hens while on vacation for ten days. Amazing to know that there is a chicken sitting business out there and the rates are very reasonable! Catherine displayed her professionalism before we even met. When we met, she observed what we typically do to care for our four hens. She is thoughtful, organized and knows chickens. Not only did Catherine do what we asked but she also did things that I will now incorporate into our routine. We received pictures after each visit with an update. She went above and beyond what was expected of her. Knowing she was caring for our hens gave us such a sense of relief and allowed us to enjoy our vacation. I hope she is available when we need her services again. Truly terrific!

Catherine took the best care of our hens while we were away for 2 weeks. We are so impressed with her service! The pick up and drop off was great, and saved us a lot of time. We also loved getting all of the updates on how they were doing. They laid a ton of eggs (that Catherine saved for us) while we were gone, so we know they felt comfortable. We would absolutely recommend that you choose Chicken Chores!

Not only is she very knowledgeable about all things related to the raising and care of chickens, she truly delights in these feathered friends and they know it.
