The Outlander Immersion Tour was exceptional. We had a small group which is perfect for interacting and asking questions. Our tour guide, Hugh, added to the enjoyment with his knowledge of Scottish history and story telling ability. I would recommend Kathie and any and all vacation needs. She keeps you informed and provides additional information that adds to the success of the trip.

In June 2023 I traveled to Scotland for 8 days on an Outlander immersion tour, put together and arranged by Kathie Snyders, owner of A Happy Place Travel. I absolutely loved this experience! I am a fan of the Outlander TV series and through this tour I was able to visit many filming locations of the TV show. The visits to so many castles were my favorite experiences. The Outlander immersion tour is a small group tour for 6 to 7 people which is great because I did not feel rushed as we were driven all around Scotland by a very knowledgeable Scottish tour guide. The tour began in Glasgow, followed by stops at Aberfeldy, Inverness, and concluding in the most beautiful city of Edinburgh. What I appreciated about Kathie the most is that prior to the tour and during the tour I was able to reach out to her by email or text and she was readily available to answer my questions. In addition, she helped us secure additional hotel reservations prior to the beginning of the tour, and after the tour concluded. I highly recommend Kathie as an amazing travel consultant for any trips, and especially the Outlander tours in Scotland.

My daughter and I booked a 9 day tour with Kathie Snyder, of A Happy Place Travel, LLC, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Scotland. Kathie booked us with a top notch tour guide, who knows the ins/outs of the areas visited, and was full of knowledge about Scotland. Our accommodations were wonderful, meals were fantastic, and of course the senders couldn’t be beat. Kathie provided us with many pre-trip suggestions and tips, many of which I put into practice…though next time, I’ll pack even lighter still. We had generous amounts of time in each place; even though we would’ve liked to have stayed longer, it would’ve caused our schedule to meet rush hours, and that was avoided, which I appreciate. It seems that the trip was perfectly planned, we literally had no worries and we’re truly relaxed. One tip I would add is that laundry centers are not open on the weekend in Inverness, or close early, so we didn’t get to wash clothes as expected. But, it worked out to wash in Edinburgh. I would highly recommend Celtic Time/Celtic Kathie/A Happy Place Travel, LLC. I hope to do another tour or two to Scotland.

Kathy was amazing and I had the most amazing time and I cannot thank you enough. This was the trip of a lifetime for
me and I did not want to leave beautiful Scotland! The fact that Kathy planned where we would stay and the itinerary meant there was so much less stress for me before and during the trip. And I never want to do a big tour group vacation again - not after being spoiled with a small group like this.

And the great thing about her tours is even though I went alone, I was people who loved a tv show just like me and that shared passion made an instant connection for all of us!

Scotland was a dream- even in October rainy weather. Our tour guide Hugh was phenomenal!! I cannot give enough praise for him as a tour guide and when (not if) I go back to Scotland I want him as a tour guide again. I learned so much history about Scotland as well as trivia about Outlander and other TV shows and movie facts. I am sure I have already forgotten half of the interesting historical stories we were told.

I got to visit so many amazing castles and locations and while I went for the Outlander content, you get to see a country which such an amazing history and visit places that just take you back to a different time.

I highly recommend looking at all of Kathy's tours and I am sure she can tailor make ones to fit your interest. You will feel cared for and heard every step of the way and its that personal touch that means so much. Thanks again and I cannot wait for another once in a lifetime trip!
