This experience was such a delight. The connection with onsite management was superb. Our stay was in the Trails End cabin (3 bedrooms). This space allowed us the opportunity to feel the beauty of Colorado and the daily wildlife interactions (deer, squirrels and elk).

Our group had walkers and we found the cabin spacious and accommodating. Plenty of room thru doorways and hallways.
(*note: there is no ramp on the deck at this cabin) We were able to improvise the step-up with the sturdy patio chair on front porch. No issues.

The cabin kitchen was well equipped with all of our needs and a pantry stocked with small items you might need, on the fly.

I can’t wait to plan our next vacation to this area and book a cabin here again. This really was THE BEST TIME away with my family. ❤️

An absolute hidden gem! Just minutes from town, yet it feels wonderfully secluded. The cabins are so thoughtfully designed—every detail has been considered, from the comfiest beds to the softest towels. Jennifer was incredibly kind and accommodating throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be returning!

This cabin was absolutely perfect for our family getaway. The property is gorgeous. We saw deer and chipmunks off our porch. It was super clean and literally has everything you could need except for food and clothing. The towels are thick and absorbent. Even the toilet paper and facial tissue are nice, not the scratchy stuff that's in most hotels/lodging. There are plenty of dishes and cookware, foil, cooking spray, etc. I also love that there were cloth napkins instead of having to use paper towels for napkins during meals.||||The gas fireplaces were cozy and warm. The bedding was comfy and there were plenty of pillows (something else that a lot of places skimp on), which I appreciate because I like to sleep with 4 pillows :). It's a maybe 3 minute drive to the main road in Pagosa, but you feel like you're much farther away. ||||Oh and the cabin even had a drawer of games (Jenga, Clue, Trouble) to play. They've thought of everything. 5+ stars.||||Seriously this is one of my top 5 places I've ever stayed and I've stayed in a lot of places. I highly recommend.

My family loves traveling through any and all mountain towns. We've stayed in different condo's, cabins, VRBO's and resorts, but we quickly fell in love with these cozy cabins above all! It's now our favorite family vacation spot, we don't want to go anywhere else! ||||There's a rugged charm with just the perfect amount of luxury, comfort, and nature! The Cabins hilltop location is nestled nicely the cutest big-little town, just follow the white picket fence off 2nd street. ||||You will need snow chains, AWD or 4X4 to make it up the driveway in winter, it's too steep and snow/ice makes it too slippery for cars and vans! ||||We've been back several times, since quarantine started, we know it's a clean, private, secluded, SAFE place with WIFI so we can "work remotely"! ||||Cant wait to go back this summer, hopefully with friends staying in the adjacent cabins! We tell everyone about The Cabins!

Wolf Creek Ski area has been on our ski bucket list for several years. The opportunity came about to visit during a powder storm and we were looking for an idyllic secluded cabin close to town. Hitchin’ Post at the Cabins at Hartland Ranch outside of Pagosa Springs was perfect and could not have been better. Beautifully and thoughtfully constructed log cabin style on the exterior and comfortable tongue and groove wood paneled interior with tasteful southwest decor. Three gas fireplaces, exterior grill, WiFi for work from home (so we could extend the stay for a powder day on Monday), fully equipped kitchen, Starbucks and Paul Newmans coffee pods, an incredible view from front and back porches and a drawerful of family games to stay away from technology. It is located up a small secluded valley from Pagosa Springs and walkable into town. 30 minute beautiful drive from Wolf Creek Ski Area. Jennifer the hostess was wonderfully helpful and made sure we had 4x4 for Wolf Creek Pass during the storm. ||...and the blower powder was incredible.

Had the recent occasion to stay at the Cabins of Heartland Ranch. What a wonderful family owned/operated property. It is located in a beautiful mountain setting, yet within walking distance to Pagosa Springs. The cabins are beautifully appointed and well maintained. This is the perfect spot to use as springboard to visit all the sites that southwest Colorado has to offer. Highly recommended, my wife and I are looking forward to our next stay at this wonderful property.

Wow! Can’t say enough about this place. I’ve traveled the world and I have to say this was the cleanest (translation: spotless) lodging I’ve ever stayed in. ||In addition, obvious attention has been paid to all aspects of the stay. The kitchen was beyond “well appointed” with every dish and gadget imaginable. All you need to supply is the food. The guest bottle of wine was also a thoughtful and classy touch. ||The environment is lovely. Just a few minutes from town, but you feel far away. Quiet, quiet, quiet! Wildlife everywhere. The 5 cabins are situated such that everyone has privacy. We never knew anyone else was around. ||Jennifer is extremely nice, helpful and professional. We had an issue with a ceiling fan and they were on it in a heartbeat. ||Absolutely a fabulous spot. I’m almost reluctant to review it because I want to keep this treasure to myself! And treasure it is!!

I wish I could give this place six stars! What an incredible place to get away and enjoy the beauty of the mountains. The cabins are impeccable, spacious and clean and the property grounds are beautifully maintained. Cabins come equipped with smart TVs and central heat and air. We received a complimentary bottle of wine to welcome us, and even a bottle of local honey. We were less than 5 minutes from the famous Pagosa Hot Springs and were able to enjoy relaxing massages at the spa. There are tons of great spots for hiking, or you can simply walk around downtown Pagosa and enjoy several cute local shops. Our cabin had a lovely deck off the back of it, and when it rained during our stay, I was able to sit on the deck and read, while still enjoying the beautiful view. There is tons of wildlife in the area and we enjoyed seeing the deer, horses, and even a bald eagle. I travel a lot, and this is by far one of the best properties I have even been to! I can't wait to come back and plan on making Hartland Ranch and annual vacation spot.
