Two years ago Kristal started helping my husband and I plan our ten year wedding anniversary trip. We explored many different locations and resorts but ultimately fell in love with the Hideaway at Royalton in Punta Cana. Traditionally I’ve never “wasted” money on room upgrades because they’re all the same, right? But out of sheer curiosity I asked Kristal about them. She outlined the options and explained that the upgrade we wanted would cost us $400 more for the week but came with $600 in resort credits (and a jacuzzi tub and butler!). We were totally sold, and while we’re probably the least fancy people we know, it seemed like an insane deal for all of that. Our trip was fast approaching but so was COVID and before we knew it our resort (and the whole world) was shut down. Many people questioned why we decided to use a Travel Agent when we could have booked this trip direct via their website, and let me tell you, I could have never kept up with all of the changes that went on over the last year. Kristal dealt with the travel insurance company (to understand COVID coverage), the resort (with various reopening dates and protocols), and flight changes all on our behalf. She regularly checked in with updates but the only “work” we had to do was tell her what dates we wanted to go when our resort was reopened. In fact, because Kristal knew how worried I was about traveling with COVID she provided updates on any scenario we might face. We knew what the COVID protocols were at the resort and in the Country, what would happen if we were exposed, and of course what our insurance would cover (all of it) if we had to stay. I cannot even begin to tell you the peace of mind that brought to this mom of 4 small kids. We arrived at our resort and it could not have been any better. The location, amenities, food, environment, and safety protocols could not be beat. And did I mention our butler? He delivered every bag, filled our fridge with any drink we wanted, made every dinner reservation, and even had our room decorated for our anniversary. We used our resort credits for the Chef’s Table experience, massages, some of the very best wine and liquor for our room, and reduced prices on each of our excursions. Our 7-night trip was hands down our very best vacation. There wasn’t single complaint we could come up with or thing we’d change about it (except for maybe that sunburn on our first day ?).

Kristal was helpful and very friendly in helping our family of four find a ski rental home, we all enjoyed it thoroughly. She’s also helped us plan some last minute hotels on a road trip, so convenient. I will definitely be using Yellow Sky Travel for future traveling!
