Beyond that, the lodging, food, atmosphere, and music were all off the charts good, and the fishing and non-angling activities were even better! Another phenomenal Yellow Dog trip. I recently traveled through Chile (Patagonia region) to do some hiking and wine tasting. I wanted to do a day of fly fishing while there and a buddy recommended I use Yellow Dog to coordinate this part of the trip. Jack and the Yellow Dog (YD) team were outstanding and made coordinating my fishing excursion extremely easy. They were fast, concise and informative with their responses and support and put us in contact with a local outfitter, Grey Fox Outdoors (GFO), who handled guiding our fishing trip. The first outing went so well, we decided to book a second day trip (which was more epic than the first day) following our hiking. Once again, Jack and the YD team were there to assist with the coordination on short notice for this trip. They also followed up on each day trip to see how things went and ensure we had a great outing. Outstanding customer support throughout! For the fishing itself, Claudio, the GFO owner, was our guide and he is fantastic. He took us out to fish his new program location, Estancia San Luis, located with the Torres del Paine National Park as our back drop. We have views of the park all day long along with so much diversity in wildlife it was crazy (Condor, fox, armadillos, sheep, cattle, rhea, guanacos, rabbits, other birds, and plenty of brown trout of course :-)). There was also a great diversity in places to fish between the two outings so we didn't fish the same areas twice. As a novice fly fisherman, he taught me more about reading the waters and the hatch as well as how to improve my casting and knot tying skills in two days then I have learned in over a year. Along with his obvious skills as a guide, he's also a great guy and enjoyable to be around. This wasn't my first guided fishing trip so I have other outings to compare this with. Yellow Dog and Grey Fox Outdoors by far exceeded my previous trips! So much so, I'm already working to book a trip with them to Iceland. I highly recommend YD and seeking out Claudio if you're looking for a single day or multi-day fly fishing trip in Patagonia. You won't be disappointed!

These folks know fly fishing and are always ready to help tailor a trip - whether I've been going solo, with family, or with friends. I've come to trust this team to the point that for my last trip I just called and said "send me somewhere adventurous" and they came up with a couple ideas on the spot! Worked with Jake and the team at Yellow Dog for a fly fishing trip in September 2022. They were extremely knowledgeable about the rivers and each of the lodges they offer and they were very adept in helping us to choose the right option based on our budget, timing and fishing ability. The follow up was excellent as well. We received calls about one month prior to our trip, the week before our trip and the week after our trip to make sure that everything was just right. Additionally, we had originally scheduled a trip to Idaho but had to change due to a scheduling conflict. They weren't able to book us at the same place for the the new dates we needed. But they found us a very comparable alternative, for a similar price. It ended up being a fantastic trip to Great Waters Inn on the Big Hole - a fantastic lodge on an incredible river. Finally, the guides we worked with were top notch and knew the river very well. They put us onto lots of beautiful and memorable fish! We will definitely be using Yellow Dog to book fishing adventures in the future!!!!
