I can't recommend Winsted Home Care Service highly enough. I dreaded trying to find home care for my father when I was told he needed extra assistance, but was given their name. Not knowing what I would encounter on the other end of the phone when I called, to my relief Darlene got right on the job and had the beginnings of a schedule by the end of the day. And not only did she cover the hours my father needed right away, every single person who worked with my father was not only adequate but excellent. The women who worked with my father without exception were communicative, flexible and cared about making his life better on a daily basis. They called me to troubleshoot, asked questions, and let me know how my father was doing. I so appreciated the professionalism of Winsted and their staff while waiting for my father to be transferred to a nursing home. The help and peace of mind the whole operation provided was invaluable. Thank you Winsted.

Winsted Nursing Care helped care for my Mom when she was recovering from Hip Surgery. Despite being at Assisted Living she need extra attention that Winsted Nursing Care provided. I work in health care myself and I know how challenging and rewarding this work can be, especially when dealing with a senior with physical limitations and mild cognitive impairment. The agency responded very promptly to our request for services and had help for mom available within 24 hours of our request. The consistency of support and responsiveness of the office staff was excellent. The quality, personality and helpfulness of each caregiver was special. Many really felt like friends and family members for us. We appreciated their special efforts from taking mom out for pizza to taking mom to appointments to helping mom pick out a dressy outfit for Easter brunch. Thank you all and much appreciated.

Compassionate and caring. They were available immediately when my father had his stroke and was released from the hospital. They provided a wonderful live in aide and visiting nurses to check up on his condition a daily basis or as needed. My father could be difficult or stubborn at times and they seem to be ease his tensions and make him comfortable where he was actually happy and smiling. I can not Thank Winsted Nursing Services enough for everything they did for my father. Knowing his last years and days of his life were spent in comfort and he was not alone. I highly recommend this business for all your home health needs, they are wonderful.

We are so grateful for the amazing care provided by Winsted Nursing. Our mother required 24 hour coverage while in an assisted living facility. It made it possible for her to stay there rather than move to a nursing home. Amidst the complexities of the Covid-19 pandemic, Winsted Nursing managed to provide high quality aides around the clock. Many of the aides developed a strong bond with our mother, and provided an extra level of emotional as well as physical support. We couldn't be more pleased with the services provided over the last year.

Winsted Nursing Care has served 3 of our parents for 5 years now. Over the years, we have employed perhaps 15 of their care providers. Most have been very good or excellent and often the difference is a question of "fit". Winsted is eager to work with clients to find that good "fit" between client and helper and welcomes all feedback. These are particularly challenging times for everyone. I believe Winsted does an exemplary professional job fulfilling this enormously helpful service.

Winsted Nursing Care was amazing. they were able to have aids on board at short notice. our needs were 24hr which allowed us to experience several staff members. All were attentive, kind and knowledgeable. truly exemplary.

They don't even deserve the 1 star. Currently forcing employees to work sick, which couldn't be any more dangerous considering the current situation.
