ICELAND September 2024
Our 10 day trip to Iceland in early fall was great! We are grateful for all the hotel selections, sight recommendations, assistance with dinner reservations and adventurous excursions suggested by our travel agent at Windy City Travel. Iceland has such a diverse topography. We took our time, rented a car and explored volcanoes by foot and air, trekked glaciers, viewed numerous waterfalls from many viewpoints and even snorkeled the chilly waters of the Continental Divide. Words cannot begin to describe the beauty and adventure of this island. If relaxation sounds appealing to you, stay at The Retreat (5 stars) and stay in your bathrobe and slippers all day and enjoy fabulous Icelandic cuisine in the evening. Iceland has a magical charm, not to be missed! We will be calling Kathy again to help us plan our next destination!

MOROCCO April 2024
We just came back from an amazing trip to Morocco! Kathy helped us create some magical days. We rode camels in the Sahara desert at sunset. We took a hot air balloon ride at sunrise outside of Marrakech. We hiked in the High Atlas Mountains and visited a Berber family. We tasted some great tagines. The English speaking guide and driver that she arranged were exceptional. From organizing our stay in beautiful and comfy hotels to setting up adventures, Kathy Allinson helped us plan and create many great memories.

Windy City did a really good job planning my vacation to Morocco. Deni, our point of contact, did a good job of leveraging his local resources and we were always treated with the upmost care during our trip. We didn’t think our stay at the La Mamounia could ever be matched, but Windy City’s suggestion to stay at the Kasbah Tamadot at the end of the trip was amazing! Our local guide and driver were always going over and beyond our expectations as well.

Kathy planned an amazing trip for us to Ireland and Italy a few years ago, so it made perfect sense for us to have her plan our 2-week trip to Amsterdam and Greece this year. She booked all of our various flights and ferry rides, which made things much easier on our end. Our Amsterdam hotel was perfect—right in the middle of the city where we could walk everywhere. She scheduled a private tour of the Van Gogh Museum and meeting up with the guide was easy. In Greece, we visited Athens, Paros and Santorini and every piece of the trip was seamless. Again, every hotel was in a perfect location for us and there were absolutely no glitches! Kathy Allison of Windy City did a great job in planning our trip to Paris and London. We really enjoyed afternoon tea at the Ritz in London and all of the wonderful attractions in Paris.

Sandi did a wonderful job of communicating with me before and after our vacation to Punta Cana. She called a few days before departure to check in with us and answer any questions we had. She continued thru email throughout our trip to make sure everything was going smoothly. I would highly recommend Windy City Travel for anyone’s vacation needs. A big thumbs up. A job well done. We stayed at the VIK CAYENA. I would highly encourage the upgrade from VIK Arena. Private pool, bar, beach area and restaurant. Rooms a little outdated but grounds are very nice. Food was exceptional for a resort. A great place to stay for adults that want nothing but leisure time.

Working with Cassie made my potentially overwhelming vacation planning experience for a large group, a breeze. She helped us make a decision on a trip that would be the best experience for a group of all ages ranging from Gen Alpha to Boomers. Her cruise recommendation was a hit and my daughter said it was the best vacation we've ever had. I just returned from A trip to the Scanadavian Capitals. It was a very nice trip I believe that Windy City Travels is a good resource for you to set-up a relationship. I personally need to be better educated on traveling solo since I was recently widowed. I believe that long bus rides abd staying at multiple hotels can be tiring when you get a bit older. So what I am saying is “ become a better educated consumer. The service, follow/up by Paula was very professional. I like having one point person.
