Excellent place to have a family gathering. We had our family Thanksgiving meal here this year. It was easier for us all to gather here than at someone's home because we come from out of town and there aren't a lot of places to stay in the area. The huge porch and beautiful fire pit area were great to just hang out and talk with family or just watch the nature around us.

First time booking a cabin and staying in one and it was the perfect experience. I have to start with the fact that I booked it the night before I planned on staying, which is unheard of because cabins around these parts are ALWAYS booked. The whole cabin was amazing. There was a fire pit and a hot tub which we utilized frequently. There’s a grill there as well, which we also made use of. There were so many trails and sights to see in the surrounding areas. It was worth the 3 and a half hour drive. We stayed two nights. The people in the surrounding towns were super polite. All in all it was the perfect weekend and I plan on renting from Willowbrook cabins again very soon. If you get the chance, I 10/10 recommend.

Loved everything about this place. The location was great. It was quiet. The cabins are far enough apart so your neighbor isn't right on top of you.

Everything you need to be comfortable and relaxed. Rooms are spacious and clean. Kitchen is a huge plus.

Beautiful area, Great service and information provided! The Hiker cabin is super nice and clean. Homey and comfortable, has everything you will need. The hot tub is amazing, perfect for star gazing at night time! Firewood for a fire was provided ready to go on arrival. Thank you for the amazing stay!

My wife and I spent our anniversary in Golconda so we could hike the trials in Shawnee. This was our first stay at Willowbrook Cabins and we were blown away by the Outdoorsmen cabin. It was perfect for the two of us. The full kitchen was fantastic for our evening meals and the hot tub felt amazing after hiking all day. The cabin was clean and well maintained. Felt like a home away from home.

We stayed four nights in the Outdoorsman cabin, and it was a great home base. Easy to find, and had everything you need! The cabin was plenty spacious, we spent our evenings either in the hot tub out back or on the couch with a movie! Garden of the Gods is a short drive away, we also visited Lake Glendale Stables to ride horses, and the Cache River, a little further away to kayak. Cabins are nicely spaced, we had plenty of privacy while we sat by the fire pit and cooked dinner on the grill outside. Very clean, nice furnishings, we would definitely stay again!

We stayed in the Hiker cabin (2 bedroom / 1 bath) and truly loved it. It is so cute, comfortable, and was very clean. It was adequately supplied with toilet paper, laundry detergent, bath soap, and everything we needed in the kitchen. It has a wonderful firepit with plenty of firewood available, outdoor seating, and the hot tub was the best! It also has wi-fi and a ton of TV channels, and DVDs. It's a great location to Garden of the Gods, Cave-in Rock, and Golconda. We would definitely stay here again!

We had the best time staying with Wilowbrook Cabins. We rolled into the Outdoorsman very tired. This was our first trip to The Shawnee National Forest and first stay with Willowbrook. The cabin was beyond expectations. It has everything one could need except food. It was so nice and relaxing with a campfire every night. Again the host is attentive and top notch. There is so much to see so close by.... we did not want to leave!!
