I've booked with Wildman for 3 years now and there are so many reasons it's my go-to for Memorial Day weekend! I met one of my now closest friends when we were placed at campsites next to each other, and it's become a tradition to return there each year. The staff is absolutely exceptional and I feel like their operations and overall way of doing things represents five star service and safety. I've been camping in both the tent camp areas and small cabins, rafting, rock climbing, and high ropes, and it's always been a really positive experience. I started bringing different friends each year from the Chicago area and we've really enjoyed all the different amenities and activities at both Wildman outposts.

First time visitor on September 2024. I spent the weekend with friends in an rv camper. The staff members were excellent, from reservations to in person/on-site! Dan, the GM, was very helpful, eager to assist and making sure our stay was comfortable. Our firewood was delivered straight to our camp site.

The other location, where we did whitewater rafting and zip lining, was also an exceptional experience. Mike and Brian, our zip line guides, we're spirited, witty and just plain fun! We felt very safe throughout the whole experience. The tour guide on our whitewater excursion was very much the same!

I feel extremely fortunate to have such an exceptional spot for rafting and camping so close to me (coming from Chicago). I've come here twice for rafting, high ropes, and rock climbing, and it's my go-to for outdoor adventure. This May was my second trip, and it was a 2-year anniversary with one of my closest friends who I met at Wildman 2 years ago. We were fortunate enough to get James this year as our rafting guide and had an absolutely thrilling ride on the Menomonee. It's a well run operation and solid option for camping and all their outdoor activities.

My wife and I did NOT stay at the Wildman Resort. We paid for and went on a whitewater rafting trip recently.
We had gone on a similar trip with Wildman in 2022 and had a super-duper trip on the Menominee River. We were looking forward to having another wild and exciting ride--which is exactly what we did this summer.
Our guide was terrific, though underpaid (as we suspect all of the young staffers are). He taught us the commands for successful rowing and how to haul a fellow rafter aboard when someone fell into the river.
The mighty Menominee was not super high but high enough to provide a couple of class four rapids with eight-foot drops. We had a blast paddling through these steep and wild rapids. We also enjoyed swimming in the cool, tannin brown water of the Menominee.
We're giving this experience a 4-star review for a couple of financial reasons. The cost this year was $79 per person, a 60 percent increase over the $48 fee in 2022. When asked about the huge jump in price, the Wildman rep told us that "our financial people told us to make the whole increase this year instead of raising the fee a little bit each year."
This questionable business practice led to our second reason for giving Wildman four stars. As many of these active adventure outfits do, Wildman has a staff photographer who takes shots of all rafters during their trips. After the trip is over, riders are given the opportunity of buying pictures/videos or the entire flash drive with all pictures and videos on them.
Our thinking is that when you increase your fee 60% and the trip is the same length, and you still charge extra for water shoe rentals AND you don't increase the wages you pay your staff, the least you could do is provide each rafter/group one picture (of their choice) of their wild adventure.
THAT might be a business practice that would actually foster good will and return customers (and their friends).

We had an awesome experience with our guides - Zoe, Will & Chase. The team was amazing, we had great water conditions. I had no idea we could find class 3 & 4 rapids in Wisconsin!!

Traveled with my husband and 2 daughters (ages 12 and 16). Everything about this trip was amazing! Incredible customer service, fantastic guides, and beautiful location. At the Peshtigo location, we did the individual kayaks on Peshtigo river and the alpine tower. We camped for 4 nights. It is rustic and quiet and the shower house is clean! We traveled to the Menomonie outpost 1 day and did the rafting trip and the zipline. All activities at both outposts were fun. The rafting and kayaking trips were our family's personal favorites. None of us had ever whitewater rafted before. Guides were great and we always felt safe, but at the same time, experienced the adrenaline rush of the rapids.

My husband and I went rafting on the Peshtigo River with Wildman, and it was an amazing experience. Although we initially signed up for the Menominee River, heavy rainfall and safety concerns led us to switch to the Peshtigo. Our fantastic guide, Walt, made the trip fun and enjoyable, ensuring our safety throughout. I highly recommend rafting with Wildman.

We did the whitewater rafting trip on the Peshtigo River. The guides were amazing and the boats were fun and zippy. It was a nice mix of a few thrills (class 2 and 3 rapids) and relaxing float sections. Being later summer we had to scoot over some rocks but that just added to the adventure! Highly recommend!
