Not sure where the overly negative reviews came from. I've been going here for years and have always been impressed. There are some times of day to avoid because it's crowded (11am, noon, 5pm), but that's not Watterson's fault, it's when classes let out.

There's an enormous variety of foods, they take great care to cater to people with allergies and vegetarians, and the price is excellent for all you can eat.

Don't come here for breakfast. The options for breakfast basically vanished after their remodel. The only hot breakfast food is at Homestyle, and since it's one place trying to serve hundreds of students, expect to wait up to 15 minutes in a massive line to get 2 sausage links, some potatoes, and an egg white croissant. Other than that, it's cold bagels, cereal, and yogurt. I say cold bagels because the line for toasters is also up to 15 minutes long because one of them is usually broken or just never got plugged in.

Lunch is a different story, basically everything is open most of the week. Fresh Bites doesn't have salmon or halibut nearly as often as last year though.

It's also very evidently suffering from the larger classes recently. It's hard to find a table if you come in within an hour of noon, even though the whole building is stuffed with as many tables and chairs as logistically possible.

So many choice of food and diffrents styles like homecook, Asian, Mexican, Italian, and more. Food is great and even has a gluten free selection if your onto that.
