Went on the Watauga River as a first time rafter with my two daughters, ages 7 and 9. All of the staff was kind, fun, and helpful from the get go. Our guide Rich was lovely, made us feel completely at ease while sharing history of the area as we drifted through. The scenery of the trip was absolutely breathtaking, and my kids even dared to take a little dip in the freezing river. I highly recommend Wahoo’s for anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful experience in the area! Absolutely the right balance of fun, educational, and peaceful.

Our family had a blast! It was a fun adventure for all of us especially our kids (ages 6 & 8). The raft guides were fantastic especially Sophie who gave us information about the river as we went and answered all our questions.

We had a great experience rafting with Wahoos! My family of 6 took the more mild rafting experience on Watauga, and we had a blast. Our guide Kayla, was awesome and she had a great vibe that made the experience better. We're definitely looking forward to kayaking with Wahoos in the next few days, and coming back to tackle the Nolichucky! Thanks for the great memories.

Awesome place for family oriented whitewater rafting. Took my my son's, ages 10 and 4, both had a great time. The entire trip took about 2 hours. The guides were both informative and entertaining for the kids. Will be back next year

We had our children 9 and 11 on this trip and they had a blast. The rapids are calm enough you don't have to worry about them, and the river was fun for us too! The guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the trip very entertaining for us. Great operation and great guides, we would go back again!
