Vertical Adventures (Chris and Jarad) were fabulous guides for our family and friends during our stay in Joshua Tree. Most all were beginners and they made everyone feel comfortable with the gear, safety procedures and the climbing itself. Jarad got my seven year old son going after a little convincing and he didn't turn back, he was like a little mountain goat thanks to him and loved every minute.

Chris spent the time answering any and all my questions and both showed their extensive knowledge of climbing, very impressive. We can't wait to have them guide us again not only in Joshua Tree but the other locations they service. I can't recommend them enough to anyone at any skill level.

We have climbed with Vertical Adventures in both Donner and Joshua Tree and have had an incredible experience both times! Their guides are super patient, friendly, supportive and professional. We've climbed with young kids as well as adults and they have made the experience memorable and fun for all ages. This most recent time we climbed with Jarad at Indian Cove near Joshua Tree and he was able to help us overcome our nerves, to feel secure, and guide us through a handful of different climbs that meet our skill levels. Would highly recommend a rock climbing outing with this group, even if you have zero experience. Super fun, confidence-boosting, family bonding experience! Would definitely book again!

If you’re heading to Joshua Tree, do not miss the opportunity to go rock climbing in the park! Our family had an amazing time doing the half day private climb with Vertical Adventures. Jarad was such a great guide and extremely patient with our 9 and 11 year old. Highly recommend for a fun (and safe) adventure!
