We did the Sporty and Sweet River trip and it was amazing!!! We had the river to ourselves and there were lots of fun little rapids to ride on. We felt at peace with nature all around us. We never heard any cars or people until we got close to the vineyard at the takeout. It took us about 2 hours to get down the river. We chilled out in some of the calmer areas and took lots of pictures. Afterwards, we relaxed at the vineyard with some wine tasting and an antipasto plate. Delicious!!!

We had fun! It was our first time kayaking in a river. Our group of 6 ranged from a 16 year-old teenager to a 78 year-old grandpa and we all managed it to get to the end meeting point, yay! The river was mostly calm with some minor rapids that we all could managed safely. We did the 1pm time slot in July so we protected our skin from the sun with hats, sunscreen, and clothes. Thanks to our guide Danny, who was very friendly and gave us useful hints to navigate in the river, as well as telling us some history about the area. We want to come back to do a more challenging adventure next time.

Beautiful day. Great scenery both on the water and off the water. Just the right amount of exercise and liesure! The guides for both the biking and the kayaking were fun and Very informative. The wine tasting was the perfect end to a perfect day. Sarah and Jesus were outstanding and an added bonus to the trips. I highly recommend!!

We had a blast kayaking down the Verde Canyon River during our stay in Sedona. Everyone at Verde Adventure River Trips was very friendly and enthusiastic. Ben our tour guide especially made it fun and memorable with his charismatic and witty personality. He brought water guns for our group which not only made it super fun but also refreshing on a hot day in September. When we finished we stop at the Alcantara Vineyard and enjoyed their wonderful wine, cheeses and vineyard views to top off a full day of fun on my birthday. Blissful and exhilarating day! We’ll definitely do this again soon!

Went for a inflatable kayak ride and had an amazing time. We ended up booking fairly last minute and was pleasantly accommodated! Ben Lundquist was our guide, who had his other person cancel last minute, but still decided to come along with us and hang out. It was nice to have him accompany us and give us some local info about the river and wildlife etc. He is a super chill guy, so it was a very relaxing day. This was my first inflatable kayak tour, and it was a great memory made! I highly recommend this tour company!

We visited Sedona for the first time this past weekend. We spent one day walking all around town. After all the commercial options that day, we signed up for the kayak adventure tour for the next day. What a perfect contrast … 1. A reason with a destination to drive into the scenery 2. Meeting John, a friendly, knowledgeable host with a float plan 3. Cooling water and a relaxed float with just two other pairs on the Monday 4. Self-paced, could have floated slower and rowed even less, John drops you at the start and tells you where he’ll be waiting for you downstream 5. Nothing but nature, quiet, water running, birds and the conversation you choose to have (or not) 6. Make this trip what you want it to be - quiet or boisterous (may be dependent on others in your float, yet easy to separate yourself as you desire) 7. I felt entirely safe and secure in my kayak and on the water 8. Beware the “water cannon”, if you choose to carry one - that’s entirely up to you. Thanks John for a great afternoon. An awesome adventure down the Verde River. Some spots were pretty low and we definitely got stuck a few times but all in all it was a wonderful day. Looking forward to the next trip! The whole adventure was so easy.
Bring water and sunscreen, listen to the basic instructions and enjoy the informative bus trip with cool tips about the area. Kayak down river for about 2.5-3 hours. Tip the dudes, head home!
