Very impressed with the facility when we brought our mother there. Thing were good for at least a 1 1/2 years. Then things changed. The day staff was wonderful but at night she didn't get the care she needed. Some of the staff did a great job and some not so much. Its funny how some of the reviews are from the administrators and their families. I hope people do their research first and ask around. Do not us A Place for Mom. I'm sorry for this review but I'm just not happy with the last year for my mother life there.

We did not know how lucky we were when my mom moved in to an assisted living apartment at Cherryvale Place a little over a year ago. It was not long before they suggested moving her to the memory care unit, which was a hard message for the family to hear, even though we expected the time to come eventually.

The staff upstairs in memory care is absolutely amazing. I had many trips visiting her for 3-4 days at a time since I live out of town, and I stay in her room on a cot. I eat meals with my mom in the dining room and spend time in the activity room with the whole group.

I have had plenty of opportunity to observe the individual staff members interact with, and have relationships with each of the residents on the floor. These people are truly dedicated to their jobs and care about each of the residents. This is more than a job for staff, in fact in almost a year I have seen hardly any turnover.

In my moms case, she ended up needing a lot of extra care, and again I have been able to stay with her and observe how the staff interact with and care for my moms every need, day and night. This is where we really got lucky because we were not aware to even ask about the level of care a facility could offer. So she has been able to stay here and not have to be moved to an extended care nursing home. My whole family agrees that we feel very comfortable with the quality of care our mom gets here and we sleep well at night knowing she is being cared for in the best way possible and with staff who cares.

Our father has been there several years now. Nice clothes that we buy him come up missing. When we visit he's wearing clothes we've never seen before that look well used like they've come from the racks of Goodwill. His wedding ring is missing. A very nice quilt that was presented to him by a veteran's group for his service in Korea is missing. In short, don't send anything with your parent that you care to see again.

Mom, age 94, needed some help. Living alone just wasn’t an option anymore. Stopped at Cherryvale Place for a look see. She’s been there now one month and my sister and I couldn’t be happier. Mom told me she’s very very happy there. We’ve noticed that she is more “alive” also. Staff is the best. All really friendly and efficient. Do consider looking into Cherryvale Place for your loved one!

Our mother entered Cherryvale Place in July 2020, during the height of covid-19. She has dementia and this was very hard on her, however, everything was done to keep her safe. This included limiting visits, masking, limiting some activities, etc. Although it was isolating, we very much appreciated it as stories of covid sweeping through other facilities started to circulate.
When mom was moved to the memory care unit we were nervous at first, but needn't have worried. Mom's memory loss seems to have stabilized a great deal. She obviously has good days and bad days, but we have not seen the sharp decline that others have reported at different facilities. The staff who work with her daily are kind and professional and we are always grateful for that. They listen to concerns, address what they can, and are sure to pass on any information to others who may need it. We are so thankful that Cherryvale Place has wonderful people caring for our mom.

My mother lived at Cherryvale Place in their Memory Care Community for a year and a half before she passed. She was treated with dignity and respect during her stay. We made the move because of the stress that it was causing on family members to care for her in her home. I asked my mother 2 weeks after moving to the community if she was mad at me for moving her and she said for what. I knew deep down that she new this was the best place for her and our family.
