Truman Gillet House B & B - Granby, Connecticut

Enjoyed a brief stay here in this wonderful historic house. Good breakfast, nice hosts, and there are lots of things to do in the general area. Very convenient to the Farmington Heritage Rail Trail.

We arrived last night and were warmly greeted by Wayne; he showed us to our room and explained all about the room and breakfast in the morning including asking if we had any dietary restrictions or requests. The home being over 200 years old, it was decorated as a vintage home, but was very comfortable. The bed was great and we had a very relaxing sleep. In the morning, we went to the dining room where we were served a full hot breakfast, served fresh from Wayne and Kim's kitchen; we didn't go away hungry. We returned back to our room to tidy up a bit before going on our way. I’d highly recommend this inn and look forward to returning ourselves.

The Truman Gillett House is nicely decorated and all of the furniture is comfortable and in perfect condition. The common areas, bedrooms and bathrooms are spotlessly clean. The breakfast is very good, with the hosts checking on your preferences in advance. I had a last minute special food request, and hosts were very accommodating. The location is great and the House is easy to see from the street. The hosts provide enjoyable company and you feel like family while you are there!

y wife and I absolutely loved our stay here. Granby room seemed a bit small at first but the bed was very comfortable and it has a decent - sized closet. Wayne and Kim are very welcoming and had quite a bit of knowledge and tips for what to do in the area as well as the rest of New England. Breakfast was exceptional each day (blueberry pancakes were sensational); they were kind enough to contact us before we arrived to ask about any food allergies we had. Definitely the place to stay if you're in the area.

A quintessential New England Inn! Love all the antiques and stories that went with them. Breakfasts started our days out deliciously! Room clean and welcoming, wonderful bed. Location ideal and easy to find. Definitely recommend this B&B and we will be returning!

I always look to stay here when visiting friends who live in the area. Kim and Wayne are gracious hosts who reach out ahead of time so they can customize our the delicious home cooked breakfast. The room is always clean and well stocked. The house and location are just lovely. Highly recommend!

I stayed in the smaller room and it was perfect for 1-2 people. Bathroom is just outside the bedroom. Hosts are very friendly and know the area well. Recommended a very good ice cream place in Grandby. You are given your own key to the house's front door so can come and go as you please. The B&B is located less than 20 minutes from the Bradford Airport, but you feel as if you are in the country. The only negative is the bedroom window that opens, faces a somewhat busy two-lane road. However, I would stay here again.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Truman Gillet House
B & B in Granby, CT. We had such a wonderful time! The home is conveniently
located with easy access not too far from Hartford, CT, Bradley International
Airport and areas in Western, Massachusetts; with many places to visit, quaint
country stores and good dining.

The B & B was coxy, comfortable, private, and clean. Breakfast was always
delicious! A few of our favorites were the blueberry pancakes; French toast; and
homemade applesauce. The hosts were gracious, pleasant to talk with and very
accommodating.

Overall, our stay was excellent and we hope someday to return for another visit
and stay at the Truman Gillet House in Grandy, CT.
