Half way through our trip to Nashville, Memphis, and Branson. Francis and Amy are the best and know how to take care and entertai the group. I think Frances knows everyone in Nashville, with all the special guest she had lined up for us to meet. If you haven't traveled with Trips Unlimited, you are missing out. If they offer the Million Dollar Melodies again, sign up. It is a great itinerary. My sister and I have already started looking at next year's catalog to book trips.

Will never travel with them again. They just cancelled a Yellowstone trip scheduled in May that my daughter and I had already paid a down payment and insurance for at least 4 weeks after we mailed in our payment. Was so looking forward to this trip! When we both questioned the reason and asked if they did not have enough people signed up all we could get out of them was they wanted to revamp and make the trip better. My daughter and I both said the trip was just fine with the way it was. We both agreed that we feel we cannot 'trust' this company and will probably seek other companies that we feel we can trust.

My friend and I took the tour to Savannah and Charleston in April and were very disappointed. We both have traveled with Directions Tours when it was under previous ownership, and had a wonderful experience. This trip however did not live up to the colorful description which was outlined in the online brochure.
• Brochure read: “stop to see the flowering cherry blossoms of Macon GA” There were no cherry blossoms to see as they bloom about the 3rd week in March.
• Brochure read: “Take in the flowering trees and plants at the Savannah Botanical Garden” This turned out to be a community volunteer garden with very little to see and the caretaker was not available to let us tour the historical house on the property.
• Airport hotel for 2 nights was not senior citizen friendly with no in room privacy, slick shower floors with no grab bars, and our vouchered breakfast menu had incorrect pricing along with insufficient service staff.
• Brochure read: “we will travel just north into South Carolina and the “low country” located just south of Charleston. Here the low lands of marshes are one of the most unique eco-systems in the southeast today.” This stop was 1 ½ hours in Johns Island for lunch and browsing on our own. There were 2 gas stations, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Subway and Hot dog stand with browsing at a grocery store, wig store and Family Dollar. No unique eco-systems here!
• Brochure read: “Our tour will include an Audubon Swamp Garden and boat cruise into the rice fields.” No boat cruise as the boat docks have been under repair for the past several months and unavailable.
While both Savannah and Charleston were beautiful, our tour left much to be desired and was not worth the money we paid for it.

I have revised my rating from 1 star to 3. The day after my posting I received a phone call from the Director of Product Development, and also a letter from Ryan Sanders the owner of Directions Tours. They were both very concerned and apologetic about my dissatisfaction with my recent tour. I was impressed by the immediate response to my concerns, and would consider traveling with them again in the future.

I am writing in disappointment of my tour to Savannah and Charleston on April 15-21 2024. The description on the internet sounded like the trip I wanted to take. However, the trip I received was one I never want to take again. Some of the attractions I wanted to see were not available.

Love my trips with Directions. The Tour Directors are very informed and give information for your trip. The bus driver is very nice and handles my suitcase with care. Been on many trips with Direction the last 8 years enjoyed something’s on all the trips! Looking forward to many trip in the future. Have meet many good friends on my trips❤️

Best tour company for people of all ages. We have now taken 3 vacations with Directions(NYC, Oregon and Yellowstone) and each trip has been spectacular. Tod takes care of every single detail and is extremely knowledgeable. I always thought group travel was for old people and would be boring. I was wrong. We have so much fun that we never want our trips to end.
