The only issues I had was how the room didn't have a microwave or mini fridge as most hotels have them. Didn't think twice about looking so partially my fault. The next issue is, the walls are super, super thin. I could hear a person sneeze, which happened, and in the middle of the night, I woke up to a girl screaming.. possibly drunk while she waited for the elevator. Someone opened their door to tell her, not as nicely as I'm putting it in this review, to "shut up". So, definitely woke multiple people up. Is it the hotel's fault? No. It was just an issue I had personally. Just wish the walls were a bit thicker but what can ya do? The lobby is absolutely beautiful. The staff were friendly, and I would stay again. It's close to a lot of things downtown and although you get no fridge or microwave with the cheapest option, it's still a steal! The room smelt fine, looked clean and the bed was pretty comfortable.

Stayed here for 5 nights before starting my tour to New Orleans. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Location is prime with a stone’s throw to Grant Park and Millennium Park. Also a short bus ride to Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium and Adler Planetarium. Room is spacious and relatively clean. Furniture is a bit dusty though. Not sure why. Staff were quite helpful. Derek the night auditor was super friendly and helpful. He even said I was his guest for the week. |It’s an old property so be prepared for that. But with this price I don’t think you will find a better deal. After it’s still a Wyndham brand which means you have quality assurance. I do like Wyndham a lot. I feel safe, comfortable and trustworthy with them.

First and foremost, the customer service is always impeccable. They are friendly with our group, accommodating and always willing to help.||||The rooms are always clean. They can use a little bit of sprucing or updating though. For the love of all things holy, please please please use fitted sheets! Getting up at all hours of the night to remake the bedding was not something I enjoyed. Additionally, please provide a slip bar or something for the tub/shower. That is an accident waiting to happen. Also, Chicago was unseasonably warm for March - that heater in the room was absolutely horrible! Install some ceiling fans or allow the windows to be cracked slightly open. The most miserable sleep I've ever experienced. And please, while we are shopping for fitted sheets, those pillows have been used since the ice age! They are flat and no matter how many we use at once, do not equal one whole pillow. Let it go already!

The hotel location and the staff were amazing. Very close to all of the main downtown attractions and the staff were very responsive and helpful. However, the room was not as stellar. The towels almost all had some sort of stain on them from previous use and the room smelled like artificial air freshener that was clearly covering up years and year of smoking. While the hotel was definitely smoke free at the time of my stay, they had not successfully removed the smell from decades earlier. Unfortunately the smell was so strong that it stayed on my clothes and luggage and now I am not sure I will be able to get it out.

Overall, if you would be okay with the smell and the overall low level of cleanliness of the room, the location is amazing and the staff are very, very nice. If you are sensitive to smells, however, I would advise you to skip this hotel.

Rooms are nothing like advertised. It have a jail like feel in the room and very cold feeling. Was told we had a view but the only view we seen what a brick wall. The shower had hair in it. The toilet was industrial and all pipes were exposed. The bathroom was extremely small and wasn't very cheap.

Absolutely loved the stay at this hotel! My boyfriend and I are very pleased with our choice & choosing this hotel. Gina was amazing & very friendly. She told us about the area and where to go! She’s a peach!

& a really great feature was having a late-checkout time (this does come with a fee, but that’s to be expected).
When we checked out, the front desk employees (forgot their names), asked my boyfriend and I if there was anything else they can do for us. The staff was absolutely amazing and took care of us.

We will be back if we’re in Chicago again!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The welcoming guy was very charming and kind, making check-in a delight. The room was spotless, the bed was comfy, and the amenities were great. The staff was attentive, and the location was perfect. Highly recommend for a relaxing and pleasant experience!
