Beautiful well appointed hotel! This is a great place to stay. Staff was extremely welcoming and warm. Immediately greeting us every time we came in, always asking if we needed anything or if they could be of service. The staff made us feel so taken care of during our stay. The rooms were clean and well sized. We love the convenience of the Starbucks Cafe downstairs and so many cute little restaurants within walking distance as well. Highly recommend this hotel for staff and location!

The rooms were clean and comfortable, bathrooms nicely appointed. The room itself meet my expectations of a Marriott property. ||Service was another story. Although the hotel advertises a free local shuttle as one of its amenities, when I requested a ride to a train station, I was told the shuttle wasn't running (so I walked the 1.7 miles to the station). Upon return, I called the front desk for a pickup. They told me they would ask the driver to make one last trip before the end of his shift to pick me up … but he never arrived. So, after wasting half an hour of my time, I walked back to the hotel. ||On the second evening of my three-night stay, after having been out of my room for 10 hours, I entered my room to the strong smell of natural gas – which I found alarming. I reported this at the front desk and they asked me if I wanted to change rooms – or have someone come up and spray air freshener in the room to hide the smell. Really! (And even though a hotel employee went up to the room with me and acknowledged the smell of natural gas, he seemed to me indifferent to the situation.) Isn't the smell of natural gas supposed to be something to worry about?||Other annoying things: |. Elevator service the first couple days was horrible, offering a lengthy wait and a slow ride with many stops. |. The "digital key" through the Bonvoy app just didn't work. |. The room HVAC was left on "Cool" despite the falling outdoor temperatures.||Overall, this hotel did not satisfy my expectations for the rates and reputation of Marriott hotels.

Nice hotel. Great convention space. We were attending a dance competition. Parking is tough and limited though. The hotel is tightly packed near restaurants which is good but bad for Parking. Everything fills up fast

I booked this King Junior suite for two adults and our child. Upon looking at the photos and description of the room stating that it could sleep three, I naturally assumed that the in room sofa would be a pull out. When we checked in, we realized that not only does the sofa not pull out, but the bed is a full, not a king. So I paid quite a bit more for a junior suite than for a double room to have three of us crammed into a full size bed. Because this was for a convention, the hotel was booked solid. I am a Marriott gold elite member and this was completely unacceptable. The room is tired and rundown with mangled furniture and peeling wallpaper, but it didn’t even fit the basic description of what I booked.

I chose this hotel for a work trip, and while the room itself is great, there’s one major issue for those staying in Chicago over the weekend. The hotel advertises having a lounge, but what they don’t mention on the website is that the lounge is closed from Friday through Sunday. This is extremely inconvenient, as it means there’s no access to snacks or even a cup of coffee during those days. When asked about it, the staff simply stated that the lounge is closed. There’s no prior notice or indication of this closure, which was quite disappointing.

Nice property. Suites are spacious. Lounge is small, furniture not in good shape. Less staff keeps you waiting at restaurant. Printer didn’t work. No newspapers. Staff is courteous though.

We booked a block of rooms and two of their suites for our wedding weekend. From start to finish, the entire process was extremely easy. The staff, especially Kelsie and Veronica, went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed and every detail was perfect - even down to adding extra coffee pods in the rooms. We also received a great price for the rooms, and they were very nice & comfortable. Additionally, the Westin had some beautiful outdoor spots for first look pictures and for our wedding party to mingle. They also left us chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, and a sweet note for our wedding night. Additionally, they have a mini Starbucks in the building and a tasty Italian restaurant too. Highly recommend them for future stays or special events!

Stay here if you are visiting the Wheeling, IL area. We were in town for a wedding at the Botanic Gardens and were very pleased with our stay at the Westin Chicago North Shore. We arrived early Friday morning and were greeted by Zaya at the front desk. He was amazing. Our room was ready for us when we arrived at 11am. ||This was our first time in the Chicago area and Zaya was very friendly and helpful recommending where we should go. We put our luggage in the room and took an Uber to downtown Chicago and had a nice lunch and wonderful day exploring beautiful Chicago. Be aware that Wheeling is 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours and $100 Uber ride from downtown Chicago and traffic is terrible. ||We were very pleased with our room. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable and bathroom nice. They have a separate recycling trash can in the room which I appreciated. From our room on the 10th floor we could see the Chicago skyscrapers. I totally recommend staying here if you are visiting the Wheeling area.
