This is the best place to live. Iam lucky that I found this place. You feel that you are living in family. The manger and all team specially Jerry is so kind and meet you with a big smile. Whole building smells soooooo good and whole day the cleaning team work. The cleaning team work so hard. I really appreciate them how they clean everything so good. I am so happy to live here. Every one makes you feel like a family member. I feel so secure and safe to live here. They all are very professional and kind people.

5 out of 5 stars. The Wescott is amazing the ambiance as soon as you walk in Luxury. There’s always a concierge, Jay or Karla to greet you and help with your packages so you never have to worry about stolen packages here ! It’s super dog friendly everyone has a dog here, it’s seems like! The utilities are great underground garage, laundry on every floor , the pool and gym etc. It’s a one stop shop to call your home ! It’s so convenient being downtown everything is walking distance and if you don’t need to walk it’s a bus stop right outside the building . The staff here are amazing it’s always clean maintenance is always working doing a GREAT JOB. Jerry is the best he’s always working hard and answers all my questions and gives solutions! If there’s an apartment available I say grab it and fast ! Thank you The Wescott for your incredible service and a place to call home ❤️

Jerry is highly appreciated; with his diligence, trustworthiness, and delightful sense of humor he made the search for my home look simple. He is a very informative and very experienced leasing agent. He helped us choose our unit, and keep us informed on everything we needed to know. After living here for almost a year, I see how Jerry genuinely cares about the happiness of the residents and how hard he is working to maintain a positive living environment; I have seen the respect his team has for him. If I have an issue in my unit, I report it to him and my issues are addressed promptly.

I love living here! The Wescott leasing team consistently demonstrates exceptional professionalism and responsiveness, ensuring our apartment rental and the building is well maintained. They are all great! Mayla, Jerry, Karla, Tina and Jay has treated us very well; they are very proactive in getting things done. Early January 2025, they remodeled the exterior entrance which leads to my apartment with beautiful floor tiles. They have improved the hall way area, the gym and many other areas in the building.

Karla goes above and beyond – We love her! She has been very helpful. She showed us a trick on how to move a heavy package to our apartment unit. On a different occasion, my collapsible foldable wagon cart got delivered with other boxed items. On this date, Karla was so creative; she set up my wagon on the spot and put my other delivered items in it. A spontaneous person like her is always ready to seize the moment. We just looked at each other and started laughing because she did everything so quickly. Thank you Karla for the amazing Job you do at the front desk.

I will also like to mention Mayla, the leasing manager. I had a smooth experience her. She’s personable, attentive and helpful. She keeps me well informed through emails and phone calls if needed. I have seen Mayla at the parties that the leasing office does and at the Movie nights outside in the barbeque area. She has been very welcoming to us and that is very comforting especially when I first moved to this building.

It's more than a year since I have called the Wescott, "home". Living here is an enthralling experience by itself. Located right in the Downtown Stamford, it is in ease connection to the train station via the Bus stop, just by its South block gate. The place itself is a wonderful community place with a recreational area having an indoor heated pool, a jacuzzi, pool table, a fully equipped gymnasium, barbecue area, tennis, basketball courts etc etc. The Wescott also houses a office space kind of setup with desktops and wi-fi too. Jerry, the Leasing Agent and Karla, from the Concierge are my go-to people for any work orders that needs to be addressed. All-in-all, the lobby area itself is very welcoming with a soothing music on. I truly enjoy staying here and definitely recommend this place as the best places to live in Stamford, the NYC metropolitan area..!

Location. Location. Location. I’ve lived at The Wescott for over a year and love it. It’s located in the bustling downtown area of Stamford where major stores, restaurants and highways are all near. The apartment sizes are larger than most apartment buildings in Stamford. The rent are comparable to others for it size and location. My most favorite amenity is the indoor pool that is open 365 days. I might be its most frequent user. The facilities are maintained clean. The maintenance crew works feverishly to fix any issue including small lightbulb changes. The concierge staff always has a smile and is interested in hearing about my day. And the leasing office is accommodating to any movements within the community. I give The Wescott 5 stars and am happy to continue to be part of building’s community.

Noise and Lack of Privacy!
The walls at The Wescott are paper-thin, so you’ll hear every single noise from your neighbors. Conversations, music, TVs, and even phone calls are practically broadcasted through the walls, making it impossible to have any peace or privacy. It’s nearly impossible to get a good night’s sleep here, and it often feels more like a college dorm than a residential building.

Dirty and Unsafe Common Areas:
The hallways, elevators, and stairwells are consistently dirty. There’s a lingering unpleasant smell throughout the building, and management seems to put little effort into regular cleaning or maintenance. Trash accumulates in common areas, creating an eyesore and attracting pests. The locks on the main entrances are often broken, and there’s little to no lighting in the parking areas or stairwells, making it feel unsafe at night.

My Awful Experience at The Wescott – Don’t Waste Your Time & Money!

I lived at The Wescott for a few years, and I can confidently say it’s one of the worst places I’ve ever called home. If you’re considering moving here, please think twice.

Poor Maintenance and Management
The Wescott’s management is completely unresponsive and barely addresses residents’ concerns. Elevators are often broken, and if they’re “fixed,” it’s a temporary patch that doesn’t last. Leaks, broken appliances, and other issues are common, but management’s promises to repair them are empty. Even after several requests, I had to wait weeks (sometimes even months) for basic fixes, which often ended up being low-quality repairs. Just to name a few…

My view from the North Tower in Downtown Stamford CT😎. I admit the property had its challenges, (that includes tenants😒) but what has remained sound are the people here at AJH from the Leasing agent Jerry to the Property Manager Myla and concierge Alisha and Carla between them make up a stellar team along with Maintenance Manager Tony and his crew of engineers.

The property is going through a transformation that has so far resulted in a new modern lobby that is BauHaus worthy, with simplicity and clean lines that works well in the space, new elevators and it is all maintained by housekeeping regularly, nothing is out of place, they keep it showroom ready. I’m looking forward to seeing more upgrades as they continue to make improvements.

The Wescott apartments are by far the most generous when it comes to square footage here in DT Stamford. I enjoy the convenience of the location nestled between 2 great parks ( Scalzi and Mill River ) and we even have our own dog park. Having a bus stop right outside your door is a plus, the 335/336 ( and it’s free, for now). The complimentary coffee and free popcorn on Fridays are a nice perk as well. I’ve been a resident since 2019 and last year I gave the AJH staff a holiday pizza party for a great job well done! I look forward to a pleasant continuous residency here at The Wescott.
