Awesome staff!! The hospitality house is literally doing the most good. Out of all the shelters I've seen in tucson, the hospitality house by far is the best. It is well maintained by the great team that runs it. It is kept clean an the kitchen staff make some really good food. They actually care about other people ..!!! I give them 5 stars and recommend this place if your in need.. or have things to donate, the donations actually make it to those in need!!! The staff know we're we are coming from they have all been in our position and treat us like humans, and do not discriminate

Great place. Brought a houseless friend there; got her in right away. Food, laundry, toiletries provided. They bring them to church on Sundays and have a midweek Bible study.

They biased as hell, there’s folks telling me that there’s a handful of beds open but the staff is saying they’re full check back in the morning, they use different tones for different people, they show favoritism, they look at you with distasteful looks mean mugging, they look at you also when you push the button and continue with, not even people who already have beds but to their paper work, this is a hospitality home I’m pretty sure they have to stop what they’re doing to take care of people that walks up. Three days in a row I slept out side the shelter waiting for a bed and then one of the guys told man of the same color that he’ll have a bed for him at nine but told me I had to check back at that time the next day and one day I even went at 8:55 bruh. They sent away me and my baby momma two days before I started sleeping there. I have on video a guy deliberately ignoring me and continuing work; I asked to charge my phone by the door he said no only if you have a bed, I said can I get a water he said no there’s nothing up here right now I said okay bet so then can you go to the back and bring one up he said no not rn I’m busy all of the above with an attitude so I left to charge my phone at circle k and came back and I had to press it 4more times and truth be told I didn’t even hear it ring so I thought the hater turned it off and so he denied me. I got 4 jobs going on 5 I’m trying to get myself transportation to work a couple of em and they pay way more than whatever they make here they’re obviously miserable to try and treat people with nothing like this, they aren’t better than anyone because they have a home my yearly still more.

They only got good reviews because the people getting mistreated don’t give a frick enough to say anything but I’m tired of being mistreated on the slick because of my heritage and color I just turned 21 on top of that i want to work and provide for my loved ones too.

Definitely more polite and helpful then the gospel mission, they don't have that "self righteous chip" on their shoulders and don't speak to you like you are beneath them. More people should donate here, they actually have a large water chest with ice and bottled water out side that they refill daily and nightly. They have a 4 month transitional living program, allows you to save money while paying a small weekly payment which they use to pay for what they need in the facility. Also if you work they allow you to stay in and get the rest you need. Thay have a Cooling Program that allows people outside to escape the heat, take a shower, eat lunch for like 5 hours, and even nap if they want. And even give you a sack lunch to take with you and their restroom is never locked. I myself know because I am in the traditional program. It is a dome setting though ne separate rooms. The staff members are awesome and helpful, so are the case managers.

Best SA facility I have been to yet. Home cooked meals prepared with thought. Large televisions with a multitude of channels. Always there to help when things become difficult.

Kim and Nicole are the only employees here that made me feel welcomed and they are kind. I had already had to file grievance against a worker and was just about to do another one but nope I will just let people really know about this place. First of all the intake staff need to be replaced or taught to handle their job more professional. I was a case worker for DES and had a case load of 7 cases a day but I still had a smile and treated everyone with respect and dignity. The intake staff doesn't even talk to you in a manner and you get spoken too like a child. I had special arrangements to be there a couple a days to work with Kim and the first day another staff member got overwhelmed. I was already not let in with my dog easy like everyone else but I had to also set up her cage. I also had to get a paper to KIM asap as in today. You have to buz out every time and check out. I got the cage and did the paperwork and she got mad I had to go give the paperwork to Kim. Which I asked can they just let me in the door in the building and that was a no so I had to go all the way out and buz in there. Then buz right back in which made her mad. And then I grabbed lunch real quick because I had multiple things to do for the day and leaving she got even more mad. She said "enough of the in and not not realizing I had no choice. I told he I am leaving for the day and Kim has my schedule and she got upset and said you are leaving for the day? Not getting I had to do multiple things required Said whatever you will figure it out. I had to do intake again and it was done the day before. The organization and the attitudes of this staff is horrible. I don't understand why would you do that job if you are not good with people and can handle pressure. They all choose the wrong field and need to do better. If you are working in any kind of social service environment you need to be patient, respectful and treat people with dignity. It's sad because I can easily talk the way back they do to me but I would be exited. I appreciate Kim and Nicole but more people need to be hired because the staff cannot handle the pressure. When people are homeless they are needy, hungry, frustrated, tired hopeless and more! The last thing a person needs is to be spoken to disrespectful because they are already down. Looks like the staff needs to read the Misson Statement of the business they work for. I am happy it's only a couple of days I have to deal with these people because they are so mean, disrespectful and have no empathy at all.
