We had a great time staying at The Overlook (Cabin 45) and the cabin came equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our time in Yosemite. The deck is amazing, looking over the riverbed between the massive redwood trees. The cabin is just a short walk away from a spot to swim on the river which was great for hot days! Having the option to cook inside or outside with the Blackstone grill or barbecue was very nice! Our stay couldn’t have been better, returning to this beautiful, secluded cabin after long hikes in the park.

We stayed in a two bed log cabin. We cooked and prepared everything ourselves having made use of a supermarket on our way down. Although previous lodges had left some basic condiments there is a local market that has some basics you might have forgotten. Although pricey we did use it several times. Very well located near the south entrance of Yosemite inside the park.With a big open fire and an abundance of firewood it was a home from home just in a magical place.

The beautiful exterior of the 2 bedroom cabin was much better than the interior. We found the place dirty and dingy, with none few of the basic amenities - coffee, tea, sugar, creamer. You could not open the smaller bathroom door if the toilet seat was in the down position! We expected much better and we feel the cabins were overpriced and way underperformed.

I have been to Yosemite countless times in my life and this is my first time staying at the Redwoods. I highly recommend the Redwoods as it is a practical choice at a slightly premium cost. Strikes a great balance of the quiet outdoors and creature comforts. My family of 4 stayed at Howard’s cabin 2 bed 2 bath. Overall Redwoods has a mix of cabins so accessibility is less of an issue, just be sure to look at the pictures. Being located inside the park is a HUGE benefit so there is a small premium attached. However this is a safe clean place that will allow you to focus on enjoying Yosemite while not being constantly disturbed by staff or encountering the always uncomfortable luxury seeking “eco” travelers. Trust the reviews this place is worth it.

Had a FANTASTIC and very relaxing weekend in cabin 17C! Great location, so close to the south gate entrance of Yosemite. Our cabin was cozy. It was cold outside, but the heater worked well. The king-size bed was VERY comfortable, it was like a memory foam mattress. We really appreciated the back patio with table and chairs. Best part of the weekend was the nearby hike (very short, less than a mile hike) to the Swinging Bridge. We literally had the place to ourselves, so nice! We will be back to stay at Redwoods in Yosemite again.

Came up to Yosemite for the weekend and I have to say I loved staying in the Redwoods cabin. The cabin was well equipped for cooking and sleeping too. It is on a slightly premium price and located a distance away from yosemite valley but I will definitely come back to stay here in my future trips.

A nice location and easy to find. We would echo other reviews in that we felt it could be cleaner. The sanitaryware was badly stained from the water which made it look old. We weren't sure if the water was okay to drink but had no issues. The heating was modern and effective, with plenty of hot water. We did not need cooling but noticed that there were only fans, no A/C. The kitchen was functional and well equipped. If you can, take your provisions with you as shopping in the park is limited and expensive.|The outside space was a disappointment with broken furniture etc on the deck. The table, chairs and recliners all needed cleaning before we could use them. |There is free washing and drying facilities in the reception building but getting a slot was very competitive. We got there just before the office opened only to find that all the machines were in use by either staff or locals. A good facility if you can get to use it.|The area was nice, with easy access to local hikes and sights which can easily keep you out all day. |We found the Redwoods staff friendly and helpful and would stay again. We would take particular care as to which cabin we booked. Some are in better condition and in a better location than others. We stayed in No 4, Pine Creek Cabin which was fine but could do with a bit of a refresh.

I stayed at the Redwoods in Yosemite cabin with my wife and another couple for a few nights in late September. The cabin truly has everything you need. The kitchen has it all and the grill was ready to go. We made a few amazing meals and relaxed after some long days hiking. There’s a library of books and board games. The living room and fireplace were wonderful. It really did feel homey and cozy.

It is conveniently located and just down the block from a nice little market. The beds were comfortable and it was very clean. Wifi worked great if you need to get some work done. Definitely would recommend for a larger group.
