Maybe it's just me but the museum itself was more enjoyable than the views from the top of the Gateway Arch. That museum was educational, interactive and just fun. Of course the Gateway Arch is an engineering marvel. Very thankful to have been able to visit here. My only constructive feedback is I asked specifically before purchasing a ticket were there any stairs involved due to my wife recovering from a minor injury. I was assured there were only a few steps. It was more like three whole flights of stairs, literally. Second, I did not see any type of sanitizing the carts after people got out after the ride to the top of the arch. Those carts are very small and God forbid you get in there with someone sick. They need to wipe those carts down after each ride. For these two reasons I gave it four stars. Finally, that gift shop was amazing. Really impressed with the Gateway Arch overall experience. Definitely recommend.

The Gateway Arch is an absolute must-visit if you're in St. Louis! Standing at 630 feet, it’s not just an architectural marvel but also a symbol of America’s westward expansion. The moment you see it towering over the city, you realize why it's one of the most iconic landmarks in the country.

The tram ride to the top is a unique experience—compact but fun, and once you reach the top, the views are breathtaking. On a clear day, you can see miles across both Missouri and Illinois, with the Mississippi River flowing below and the city skyline stretching out in front of you. It’s the perfect spot for photos and taking in the beauty of St. Louis.

The Gateway Arch Museum at the base is also worth exploring, offering interactive exhibits on American history, the pioneers, and the construction of the Arch itself. The park surrounding the Arch is beautifully maintained, making it a great place for a relaxing walk or a picnic with stunning views.

Whether you're a history buff, a photography enthusiast, or just someone looking for a unique experience, the Gateway Arch is an unforgettable stop in St. Louis. Highly recommended!

The visitor center is very informative with information not only about the urge but the history surrounding the area. Visitors do have the option to purchase tickets for a tram ride that takes you to the top of the arch itself. If I could have do anything differently, I would have researched the parking options better. We ended up parking on the street and paying for parking there. However, as I understand, there is a parking structure that guest can use and then get their parking validated inside the visitor center.

The Gateway Arch: A Must-See with a Stunning View!

Despite a bit of a parking challenge due to construction, our visit to the Gateway Arch was fantastic! The museum was surprisingly interesting and educational, and our tram guide was a real gem - polite, friendly, and entertaining. The tram ride itself was a fun experience (though maybe not for those afraid of heights - don't look down! 😉). And the view from the top? Absolutely breathtaking! We loved the thoughtful addition of steps so everyone, including kids and shorter adults, could enjoy the panoramic vista. Highly recommend a visit! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing! You can go up to the top at 630 feet! Overall great experience and would recommend buying tickets prior to ensure entry. The security check is quick and easy, but i recommend going a little early to see the free museum on your way in. You can also see it after coming down for the arch. The elevator up is safe but multiple tall people in one can make it very crowded.

Definitely one of the great engineering marvels of the world. Don't miss buying the ticket to go up all the way to the top of the arch. Also, the base of the arch has a nice museum about the history of the arch. Great experience and do not miss it if you are ever in St Louis Missouri.

Really fun. Smallest National Park. We rode the tram up to the top. Tram is small, so check your fit and comfort level at the sample tram car at visitor center ticket counter first. The ride up and then down are both three minutes each, but larger/taller people should check. 🙂

Really cool museum. Cafe inside with several food options including yogurts and refrigerated snacks too. Gift shop with plenty to buy 🤣

Lots of photo opportunities and a tour before going up.

The top of the arch is a great view. If it is busy, prepare for a bit of a wait. The tram cars are small and can only carry 40 people to the top at a time if all 8 cars are functional. Your time at the top is limited, but worth the very cool view. The museum exhibit at the bottom is very well put together and shows the history of the area.
As always, the National Park staff is amazing! One of the real treasures of our country are the dedicated citizens who care for and are stewards of our history and natural resources.
