We had a great stay! Lovely staff, clean rooms, beautiful building. The inn is old but they have made amazing modern improvements, we throughly enjoyed the whirlpool tub. Also dog friendly, just let them know ahead of time. We stayed 2 nights and only had a 1-time, reasonable fee for our dog. There's a Kwik Trip just a short walk away which was great for getting drinks and food in a pinch.

Just things to be aware of:
- They don’t have a desk person 24 hours, so make sure to check-in on time or make arrangements! They do have an after-hours phone number you can call.
- The rooms could really use curtains, but were otherwise fine. They just let in a lot of morning light.
- As other people have mentioned, the bathroom counter space is small. Our sink did have a shelf under it you could put things not in direct use.
- We didn't use the armoir in our room because the deodorizer in it was very strong.
- We were pleasantly surprised by how much space we had in our room! Worked great for our dog to walk around.
- We weren't in town much for our stay, but it was quiet and felt safe. Our friend that went with us did try a restaurant nearby for breakfast and said it was good. There was a nice park nearby to walk our dog.

We overall loved our stay and definitely recommend!

The hotel was quaint and clean; the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and amazingly helpful, especially Amanda. Willie the bartender was loads of fun. Definitely would recommend.

This property is a mixed bag for me. The lobby is lovely and has a nice historic look. The A/C worked well, the bed was reasonably comfortable, and the plumbing worked. So, it has positives. ||Be aware you are charged a "historical restoration fee" and in our room, it was needed. The paint around the windows was peeling and there was mildewed grout (forgot to photograph) in the shower. The art in our room was between "quirky" and "creepy". Maybe other rooms are in better condition. The back jet on the whirlpool tub is positioned to be an uncomfortable lump in your back no matter where you position yourself.||There is no daily housekeeping, and the tiny soap sliver and 1 bottle of mini shampoo-conditioner would not last 2 people 4 days, which would have been fine, except the desk was never staffed. The website claims the desk is staffed 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm, it wasn't. Glad we had brought soap/shampoo with us because finding someone to help would have been hard. I saw employees twice - once when one nearly hit me running out the door at 5:00 and one on check-out. When I told the desk staff we had to check out early, the response was a grunt and she pointed to the key drop. No points for cheerful service.||Bar/Lounge is listed as a hotel amenity - the Beamont never opened, there was no visible nightlife at all.||The hotel had the basics, plumbing, A/C, a bed. But it is nothing special, except the lobby which is nice. Overall, it looks better online than it is, and the list of Property Amenities needs updating.

Neat historical hotel in a cool little town. Front desk ladies were great! I had issues with a 3rd party booking, and they stayed late to make sure I had a room to stay. Hotel met all basic needs with tons of character. Free EV chargers in the rear of the building, no app just plug in. I used the non-Tesla charger and it worked great. Cardinal Lanes next door had great food and awesome service. Will stay again next year.

Website looks awesome. The actual room, not so much. We had peeling paint around the windows and mildew in the shower. The lack of counter space in the bathroom makes it pretty dysfunctional. The 4x12 glass shelf under the mirror is to small to hold one person's toiletry bag, let alone 2 people's stuff.

The jetted tub looks cool, but the back tub jets are positioned to be uncomfortable. The desk staff which is claimed to be there 1:00 - 9:00 pm was never in fact there. The bar/restaurant was never open.

Overall, what the website shows is not the experience we got.

What a beautiful and welcoming place. Historic, spacious & attractive rooms, extremely comfy bed, gorgeous artwork, super quiet. Don't miss this hidden gem! Really enjoyed our stay in Mayville. Off the beaten path but worth it to visit this lovely little town.

What a great little gem we found in Mayville! I’m a huge fan of supporting small local hotels instead of the big chains. We definitely weren’t disappointed! The check in was seamless and the front desk attendant was very sweet and helpful. The rooms have been updated but still have charm. Love that!!! I’d recommend it to anyone traveling to the Horicon Marsh area.|I’m hopeful the restaurant will reopen. It had wonderful reviews previously. Right now the bar does open for evening cocktails from 5-10pm. Traveling the state looking for hidden gems and Supper Clubs one weekend at a time, we definitely enjoyed this one very much!
