The 19th Hole Bar and Grille - Green Valley, Arizona

I decided to grab an early lunch at the 19th Hole and arrived around 10:45 AM. I asked for the lunch menu, and a few minutes later, the waitress informed me that the manager was upset I even asked, as lunch doesn’t start until 11:00. She said if I wanted to order, I’d have to wait. I found it pretty amusing, considering I already knew that and was just sitting at the bar patiently waiting. By the time our short exchange ended, it was already 10:55.

What makes this more puzzling is that the place was completely empty — about six people total, and none of them were eating, just drinking. You’d think an empty restaurant would appreciate the business, but apparently not.

I’ve been a regular here, but after today, I won’t be back. The waitress was kind and professional, and I do appreciate that, but it doesn’t make up for the manager’s rude attitude.

To top it all off, the food wasn’t even good — definitely not the usual fresh, tasty quality I’ve come to expect. It tasted old, possibly store-bought. The waitress offered more fries, then returned to say the manager had denied it — and I never even requested them in the first place.

Oh, and the drink cup? Dirty, with visible debris inside.

I’m officially removing the 19th Hole from my rotation. Save your time and money — this place isn’t what it used to be.

The food was very expensive, and we had to wait 35-40 minutes for our food. I got the fettuccine alfredo, and it was very bland and tasted like not much at all. However, the servers were nice and the garlic toast was very good.

We ate here three times during our stay at the adjoining hotel.

Dinner can be quite noisy depending on the occupancy. Felt a little like a local "watering hole" which is fine.

Food was good, first night my steak was excellent, rice pilaf was luke warm and soggy, I only ate one bite of it, Fettuccini was a little dryer than it should have been. Second night was a little better, same steak, night quite as good as the first night; steamed vegetables were cold in the middle. Baked potato was perfect. Hamburger was perfect. Wine's tasted pretty good.

Comp breakfast that came with the room was better than expected. Upgrade options available.

Staff all three visits were exceptional and attentive.

It was particularly nice to dine in and have a short walk to our room.

I placed an order to go, I drove to the restaurant and said I have a to go order. The girl went back to get it and I paid her. Now this is my issue! I called, drove there and paid. She never said do you want your change and walked away. I paid cash and I guess she needed that $3 and change more than me. All she did was walk back and grab it. My last time I’ll ever order there. I know $3 and change is a small amount but not to even ask if I wanted my change.

I ordered chicken strips , and soda the soda came right away. It was 3.50. The strips were 14.00. The chicken strips were so over cooked it was difficult to bite into the strip. The fries that came with it were dark and over done many were crunchy and tasteless. I could only eat 2 of the strips and took the rest home for my dog.
I had to cut it up for him and he’s a staffordshire terrier even then it was hard for him to chew. And choked on one piece
My friend with me ordered chicken fettuccine the garlic was so batting tgat she could only eat half her meal and took the rest home to modify to enjoy. This was the worst meal I’ve ever had there.

Bianca, I can not give any higher praise to a wonderful, beautiful, competent bartender. Bianca saved Valentine's Day. Bianca welcomed us with a million dollar smile. She was crazy busy and acted as though it was no big deal that we arrived 10 min before 9 pm. She happily took our drinks and dinner order. We had left a restaurant where we had dinner reservations at 7pm and after 1 1/2 hour wait for food which never showed up we left. We thought we would try our luck at the 19th hole. We hit the jackpot.

The servers are always great here. The food is hit or miss. The sweet potato fries are very good. Of the 5 of us at the table, 2 were quite unhappy with their entrees and the other 3 of us were underwhelmed.

The good the bad and the ugly. The food for the price was just bad. Not ugly but bad. Portions below average, flavor cafeteria level. Service was ok as the place was very busy which i can't understand but it cleared out by the time my order was taken at the bar after a good 25 minutes. I would have to guess as it was my first time there that the menu was limited. I ordered a top sirloin steak which was the best they had with veggies and a baked potato. If top sirloin is the best then you should have lower expectations i think. The steak was cooked as well a could be expected but lacked good seasoning which is something a top sirloin really needs. The baked potato came with butter and sour creme and nothing else. Not well seasoned and could have used something else like bacon bits or something. The dinner salad also was about as minimal as you could get. I think it was $32. Eggs are expensive too i guess. Not a place I'm likely to visit again. I lily to stick to Texas roadhouse for steak. Almost always perfect steak.
