We always enjoy a wind and sail on vacation. We saw the The Tall Ship Windy on social media advertising. Looked like a great opportunity to enjoy wind and water. Captain Rodney and his crew did not disappoint! Motor out of the harbor then on to sails. Passengers even get the opportunity to assist the crew with raising the sails! You will learn how heavy they are as you raise it up to full sail, lots of fun be sure to volunteer. There is nicely stocked bar for both adult and non alcoholic choices, merchandise also available. We also get to learn about the Chicago skyline with many descriptions and architecture information. We really enjoyed it and highly recommend you go on this Lake Michigan adventure.

What a great treat at Navy Pier ! Such an inviting crew and helpful. The knowledge of all things nautical and the care they take in the safety of their passengers is commendable! Captain Ralph is great on instructions & our mate for the day Dmitrii really made the trip so enjoyable with funny anecdotes and his vast knowledge of the nautical world. Very helpful to all who asked questions & with recommendations when questioned by passengers. There is a bar on board as well as a gift shop. So HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS & get ready for a fascinating trip & fabulous views of Chicago. Don't forget to tip your crew...they work very hard to make yourctrip enjoyable!

My husband and I enjoyed the sunset sail! The ride was smooth, the scenery was beautiful, and the crew were a ton of fun. We felt very welcome. As locals, we’re likely to sail on Tall Ship Windy again!

We were in Chicago and were contemplating things to do when we stumbled across the Tall Ship Windy. We decided to take a fireworks boat tour, and what a pleasant surprise we got!! The crew was accommodating and we set out on Lake Michigan. The view of the fireworks show was nothing short of spectacular. The fireworks rivaled any that we have seen, even for the 4th of July. After the fireworks, we hoisted the sails and took a scenic sail to view Chicago at night. All and all, this was one of the coolest exertions we have been on. Definitely a hidden gem. We would highly recommend this ship, the Captain and the crew. Thanks to all of the crew.

What an amazing way to watch the summer sunset over the city and listen to some blues music. The crew were friendly and the ship so much fun to be apart of (got to help hoist one of the sails). If you're in Chicago I would highly recommend this adventure.

I had time for one thing to do for a few hours in Chicago. Chose Windy and they did NOT disappoint!!! Awesome crew was engaging and knowledgeable. Beautiful views. The experience of the sails going up and sailing was wonderful. Drinks are fun, real cocktails. I highly recommend this for so many aspects of the experience.

Brilliant! Fun excursion on a 4-masted schooner. We went for the sunset cruise at 7pm. Very windy (take something warm even if it's a warm day earlier) but highly enjoyable. Unique view of the skyline as the sun sets. Entertaining crew and a bar on board. What more could you need? We took the vip option, not much pricier but allowed us to get seated on the boat early, which was advantageous (no assigned seating). Highly recommend checking out the tall ship!

Capt. Rodney and his scurvy-dog crew provided an excellent time on the water! Both, entertaining and educational. Our ragtag crew of pirate-wannabees enjoyed a beautiful Chicago skyline on a well-found ship. No other charter experience could top this one. Kudos go out to Katie also, who helped me with a reservation issue (one that I made) and got us on board.
