Scammers. Do not trust. The timeshare company is one thing, but the real scammers are the travel company (GoCRV - which I don't see on Google Maps, so I'm putting the review of them here).

First, the timeshare company:
-They say they cover your Uber to/from the timeshare - but actually, they give you $25, which usually covers only the way there, not the return journey. (So if you are visiting from the strip, expect to pay about $20-$25 of your own money on your Uber, because the timeshare is not that close)
-They started 30min later than stated. Fine. The free breakfast was good.
-They offer you a timeshare and keep lowering the price until it seems like a great deal...they use pressure sales and say that today is the last day with this offer...good thing I didn't buy, because when I got home I saw all the horrible reviews saying that the spaces are never available for the dates requested, that it's really hard to sell or back out later, etc. just not a good company and not a good investment
-They gave us two Cirque du Soleil tickets, which was great, and the tickets actually worked, but just note that you have to arrive to the will call like 4 hours in advance to redeem them.
Overall: would recommend that you go for the Cirque du Soleil tickets alone, which are hundreds of dollars in value.

The so-called 2 "free" nights in a hotel, on the other hand, were a disaster...because of the travel company they work with, GoCRV:
-At the end of the timeshare visit, they offer you a certificate for 2 free nights in a hotel. Great. The problem is that the company, GoCRV, is absolute trash. It's a ridiculous system where first you register your certificate online, then you wait a few weeks for approval, then you have to choose your city and dates (without knowing which hotel) - and they only let you choose Sunday-Wednesday and no holidays allowed. Then you wait a few weeks more to get a supposed notification email from Reservations, to then call them again to be able to choose your hotel. (I never got that promised notification, and turns out you can just book online manually). So at least 3-5 steps of calls and logging into the site. It becomes like a part-time job. Then when you are finally able to book, in Las Vegas the only hotel option covered by the certificate is the Strat.

They cover the room ($10/night) but you have to cover the resort fees ($57/night). So the company pays $20 and you pay $113. Not a great deal so far, but still a deal, right? You saved $20?

Wrong...because GoCRV ALSO takes $60 in "deposits" that is supposedly to be applied to "government fees and taxes". Yet the Strat hotel themselves told me they only charge $3 in taxes....so where is the other $57 going GoCRV is pocketing and profiting from the "deposit" that ends up being more expensive to book a hotel through them, instead of just booking directly. A complete scam and hours of wasted time making phone calls and trying to get my money back.

It's possible that GoCRV's racket is worth it for some other city that doesn't charge resort fees and has more expensive rooms...but in LV, it makes no sense to use GoCRV because it comes out cheaper to book directly and avoid their stupid non-refundable $60 deposit towards imaginary "government fees and taxes" that don't exist.

To their credit, after many calls, I was able to finally get a hold of a supervisor who said my deposit will be refunded, but by check (the slowest method possible - 21 business days).

But GoCRV are scammers and they should not be in business. Crooks! Avoid!

Where to start. Was approached in the lobby of Luxor as we were about to check in. Knew it was a time share. took the deal for discounted MJ One tickets. Was told it was a tour hour presentation. Booked the timeshare presentation. Was picked up as promised and taken to the timeshare hotel. Received the snacks and water as promised. Was a good presentation. The gentleman sound the presentation was good. Was entertaining. Then came the salesman. We briefly met him before the presentation and he assured us he wasn’t into pressuring people. That was a lie. Several sales tactics were deployed, but due to the issues between Canada and the US, I can not put my faith in an American company. To which the salesman said “you’ll be the 51st state soon anyways”. Had my child not have been sitting next to me, there would have been a scene. I decided at this point no matter what, the answer was no. We then had to tour the room. Go back, have the supervisor try to talk us in to it again. After no came the super rude and arrogant super saver. After saying no to him, he threw down the papers and walked away. Left us sitting there not knowing what was next. Then an equally as rude elderly gentleman walk over, said “get up” so we followed him out of the room and down to where we picked up our vouchers. After receiving our promised goodies, we were told there would not be a shuttle to take us back to our hotel. No offer of how to get back was suggested. No offer to call us a cab. Not sure where this place was, but it was about 15min drive from our hotel. After turning my phone off airplane mode, I was able to figure out a way back to our hotel. The $25 American Express prepaid card isnt accepted in any of the places we’ve tried so far. Ran in to the reps at the hotel who just offered us lip service on promising to make it right. On to the tickets. We were shown on a map of where our tickets would be. They were no where near that. They were side seats with a slightly obstructed view of the performance areas. Totally disgusted by this whole experience.

Held hostage! Would not let me go! Lied and said this was a viewing of a hotel and they wanted input. Then I got there and it was a timeshare. They picked us up but would not bring us back to the hotel! Shady Scary High Pressure. I have made a police report and am seeking an attorney. This company caused me emotional distress. This company engaged in fraud/deceptive practices. If this has happened to you contact an attorney they need to be stopped!

Absolutely a scam. I was approached at The STRAT in Las Vegas by Take A Break Travel and offered show tickets for $79, supposedly worth $300. What they didn't tell me upfront was that I’d have to attend a high-pressure timeshare presentation at a WorldMark hotel 20 minutes off the Strip. I wasted over 4 hours of my day—and after sitting through the presentation, I never even received the tickets. The salesperson lied about the conditions and location, and this company clearly preys on tourists. Avoid them at all costs.

Stopped at take a break travel at MGM resorts today and Raymond gave us a free getaway!! We couldn’t believe it. He was so helpful and such a great guy. Love this company!!!

Absolutely a SCAM!
We were told all these great things for just buying the tickets for an attraction since were were staying at the resort. After spending $50, then we found out it was to do a Time Share Tour. Woman at The Excalibur tried to brush over the fact that the costs are actually to attend the presentation. We read more into the receipt itself. Then went back to the booth that took our money and refused to refund us and said we have to go to the location of the off-strip resort where the tour is being held.

The most unprofessional company I’ve ever interacted with. No direct deposit. Race determines where you’re scheduled and which shifts you received. They hold up your checks and withhold commission. And they threaten to fire you even during the slow season. Also, good luck getting HR to answer the phone or not hang up on you when you need something.👎🏼

So you’ve paid a $50 deposit from a nicely dressed employee claiming they’ll give you free dining vouchers, show tickets, etc. here’s how it works:

You go to a property 15 mins off the strip and check in at the desk. There’s seating like at the DMV where you wait for your name to be called by your dedicated salesperson.

You were told the presentation is at 9:30am, it’s actually at 10. You have a light breakfast (granola bar/pastry, orange, yogurt) and your salesperson makes small talk and asks you questions about travel/vacation.

Your salesperson will give you a guide of the property for 2 hours and bring you to a room with small tables to present pamphlets/booklets. They will ask their manager to quote you a price. The manager comes with a quoted price (ours was over 11k) it’s a ‘today only special offer’ (12/21 was the last day of their special close out or so they say). You decline. They leave to let you think about it, you decline again when they come back.

They take you down to an exit survey area. In this area you are presented with an even more discounted price after you tell them what you were offered upstairs (ours was $4,900). You decline. They give you an exit slip of paper and you go to another room to receive your gifts.

At the gifts area you sit at a cubicle with another employee who gives you vouchers and coupons for your agreed upon gifts and who processes your deposit refund.

All in all be prepared to be there for at least 3 hours, it’s not any faster the more interested you are. Be prepared to say no and be firm about it, it’s a high pressure environment and they build it up a lot to get you to cave. It was interesting seeing the south point casino but ultimately I’m not a fan of their deceptive sales tactics.
