We came to Lake Tahoe for a 10 yr anniversary. Thought let’s go white water floating on a last minute decision. They got us in and it was such an easy process. The guides were very professional and wets suites are available as needed.

Ivan was great! See the picture of us hitting great white shark. Completely out of his seat!
Cell service with Verizon was really spot in the area.

This was so relaxing and exciting all at once. We took our boys ages 3, 8, and 10 and we all had the best time!! We were able to raft down the river with ease, hop off when we wanted and the towards the end got a short glimpse of what wild river rafting is all about. Staff were super friendly and we were out in the river for about 2.5-3hrs. The experience is worth every penny!

Our guide, Eric was fantastic. He said he had been guiding for 2 1/2 years and loving it. He was very thorough with instructions and explaining the history of the Truckee River area. He was also patient and fun with our group of 6! Thanks Eric!
The longest wait was before we boarded the bus to get to the launch site. A photographer takes photos while you’re out there and you can choose to purchase if you want. But the drive was very brief. We got paddles, lifejackets and helmets. Safety talk took about 15-20 minutes. Lots of young kids (~8-10 yo) on our trip so this is a great trip for beginners.
Truckee River was shallow and cold but also refreshing! Lots of rocks and then areas of Class II rapids and a couple of Class III.
Our boat got dumped and we fell out. whoa- that water was breathtakingly cold! Brrrr! Overall it took about 2 hours on the river. Fun times.

Don’t look any further!! One of the best experiences I’ve EVER had! There is not enough stars to show my gratitude for such a well ran company. From booking to transportation to the safety briefing to our guide, Seaweed, the entire experience has left me longing for more! 👏👏👏

Wonderful experience at TWT this 2023 labor day week-end in spite of the cold and rainy weather, so glad we didn't cancel... Matt and his crew were fantastic teachers and guides, we had a blast. This is a very well run local business, extremely serious about safety and working very hard providing a great experience for their customers. The water gear provided is top notch. They clearly love what they are doing and are customer oriented. Our little girl (almost 9 years old) is afraid of the water and freaked out during the safety brief prior to boarding the boats. Matt totally noticed that and knew how to reassure her, and in the end she had a blast too. I had so much fun I decided to buy the pricey photo package (which I usually never do for this kind of stuff) both because I wanted these pictures and I really want to support this business. We'll be back on a warm sunny day!

Greetings, Broseidon here. Self-Proclaimed leader of the Bro Squad. I don’t think you can choose who your guide is but if you are fortunate enough to find yourself on Brosephanie’s (Simone’s) vessel-consider yourself to be one of the luckiest mortals on the waters of Mount Olympus. Her tact, skill, and charm are second to none. She prioritizes safety while also supporting a fun and exciting environment. Tahoe White Water Tours rule!

Wonderful! The team of people running this company looks out for each other and their guests incredibly well. I’m so grateful for their thoughtfulness and priority to ensure a safe, fun time for families. It was our (me, my younger sister, and my younger brother, ages 13 year old to 22 year old) first time whitewater rafting. It sets in motion for many more to come! We want to give a special shoutout to our guide Nate. We rode class I to class III rapids and Nate was an excellent guide. The guides are prepared for spins, falls, bumps, and splashes no matter how big or small. You’ll learn about the history of the river and get to see so many surprising, epic sights. There are moments to catch a breath in midst of the fun. There’s an option to buy photos taken by a professional - TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY. It’s an additional about $70, yet worth the great shots that are taken.
