I booked travel with Ingrid Ream for a friend’s international destination wedding in 2022. Everything that could go wrong during the trip, did. Including paying for one type of room and being DOWNGRADED upon arriving at the resort because it was overbooked. No refund or any compensation was given for this inconvenience (from this company or the resort) and my partner and I had to sleep in separate beds since we were put in a double bed room (we’re both very tall).

The biggest negative though was when we were trying to leave the resort and head home, and the hotel had no knowledge that we needed the shuttle to the airport (like all the other guests of the wedding). When we contacted Ingrid’s team, we were asked for our confirmation number on our reservation. Upon closer inspection of our paperwork, our confirmation number was “Confirmed” instead of an actual number (like everyone else had). Ingrid’s team “couldn’t help us”, and neither could the hotel. So even though our transfer to and from the airport was supposed to be included with our trip, we had to book a taxi which cost us an additional $100 for the one way trip. Because of this debacle, we were very late for our flight and almost missed it.

Also, I remember the bride telling me several times that she would reach out to Ingrid about how many people still owed money and if Ingrid was going to reach out to them to remind them of their balance, to which Ingrid supposedly said, “that’s not my job.” I have worked with a handful of travel agents over the last decade and I’ve never had worse customer service than this single trip I booked through Ingrid.

We do save quite a lot with their service as they can get bulk airfare prices that are not available if you book your own flight. Their advice has been instrumental for making our trips enjoyable.
