A Fantastic Adventure with Superbadventure Tours and Friendly Guide Faruk

My family and I recently embarked on a two-day journey with Superbadventure Tours, and it was an experience that exceeded all our expectations. Our friendly and knowledgeable guide, Faruk, made this trip truly unforgettable.

We set out in a jeep that effortlessly navigated the mountain paths, ensuring a comfortable ride. On our first day we visited a beautiful waterfall and Prokosko Jezero, a beautiful destination. There we enjoyed a trandtional meal. The next day we explored the three Olympic mountains, with our final destination being the charming Lukomir village.

Faruk not only served as our guide but also as a captivating storyteller and a good offroad driver. He shared fascinating insights into Bosnian history, culture, and the natural world, enriching our journey with his wisdom. Moreover, Faruk had an incredible eye for the most picturesque spots and ensured that we captured every moment with his photography skills. He even sent us the photos afterward, which was a wonderful touch. This trip was a true adventure, and Faruk made sure that we had the best views and indulged in delicious local cuisine.

I already had contact with Faruk in Holland, I was planning to visit Bosnia & Hercegovina with a friend of mine. Contact with Faruk went perfect and our tour was booked. I was really looking forward to see the hidden gems of Bosnia. To go to places were I have never been ( since I'm originally from Bosnia and know a lot, I was looking for someone who can offer something 'extra'. And yes I found the guy:-)

Having a tour with Faruk is like going with a good 'jaran' / friend. It was soo much fun, listening to sevdah music, laughing, enjoying the nature and in the meanwhile Faruk explains everything we see. In the morning we first went to Umoljani, a small, cute little village where we had traditional Bosnian breakfast with a lovely view. Afterwards we drove to the mountain Bjelasnica and our last stop was Lukomir. A small place where it really looks like the time stopped. Only a couple families live there during the summer period. Faruk brought folding chears, so we could sit, talk and just enjoy the view. The nature was breathtaking. During our trip we stopped, talked, laughed, took some pictures, saw a lot of animals ( sheeps, dogs, donkeys).. I was suprised by the knowledge of Faruk, he really knows a lot and does his best to make it the best tour you ever had. After Lukomir (we, okay I) was hungry and we went to Bascarsija to eat cevapcici. And we finished the tour at a nice restaurant ( Vidikovac) drank Bosnian coffee and we wished the day lasted longer.

During my whole Bosnia trip I had contact with Faruk, he helped us with the rent a car, the best travel route, the best places. If we just needed anything he was there!

So If you want a tour adjusted to your wishes and a AMAZING tourguide / friend then choose superb adventures! You won't regret it!

Faruk is a fantastic guide. I travelled solo but 2 other ladies joined us. It was a great day. We all talked and laughed. Faruk took us to hidden gems to eat and see the history. When we stopped at a place he told us the history behind the place. He went above and beyond in our tour. We all had a great day. We made a few detours on the tour and they were totally worth it. He always made sure we were comfortable. You can tell Faruk loves his job. We travelled on a hot day but we managed to avoid the crowds wherever we went. Faruk is very knowledgeable.

My travel buddy booked Faruk for a trip to the mountain village Lukomir, which you start in a restaurant at the base of the mountains for a traditional Bosnian breakfast. When we first met him, I thought he was an old friend of hers. Only later did I find out they didn't know each other; he is just that of a very approacheable, friendly guy.

His approach to giving tours is like that, there is no script or textbook facts he memorizes and lists of like a robot. When we first met him for our tour to the mountains, he noticed we didn't bring the proper gear for hiking. So instead of cancelling or forcing us to climb up the mountains unprepared, he drove us up the mountain along an alternative route, stopping everywhere so we could get out and enjoy the view, and I could take some photos, and to show us little villages, water wells, herds of sheep, mountain ranges etc.

But before we started, we did a little detour to a soon-to-be ski-resort and a remote nature park slash acting village. Like with so many things we saw, Faruk explained to us who builds these resorts and why, how it was before, and how it will be in the future.

After we reached the village Lukomir, it wasn't the end of the trip. We stayed there for a good two hours, relaxing and enjoying the view. Faruk explained to us who lives in the village, who just moved in, why the houses are built like that, why the sheep are kept in one particular spot and not another, and what the old runes you see on the outskirts of the village are.

When we headed back to Sarajevo, he didn't drop us off to our booked apartment straight away, Nope, we had diner together in the old town, and then he drove us up to a cafe overlooking the entire city where we had some coffee before we finished the trip.

This wasn't the end of our contact with him though, because two days later we needed a ride to the airport to rent a car of our own, and Faruk gladly drove us there, which was far more enjoyable then overpaying for a taxi. When we set to drove out for further adventures outside the Sarajevo area, Faruk gave us tips and recommendations for hotels and tours for other places in Bosnia.
