Don’t hesitate and just book your retreat!!! Del and Desi were so warm, welcoming, and prepared—from my first encounter to the last. Hele was a special treat during the trip that added extra sweetness and fun. Everything was well planned with all the thoughtfulness, care, and flexibility I could ever hope for. Accommodations, instructors, and staff were lovely (and locals)! I’m still dreaming about the food. Best of all, this experience really attracted a special group of women that I will never forget. I look forward to attending future retreats with Sunshine Surf and my friends already can’t wait to join me!!!

Delphine organized a private retreat for my partner and I, and we couldn’t be happier about it! She organized everything from the amazing hotel, to shuttle, activities, dinners and more.
Her recommendations were on point and we got to see Tamarindo from a local/unique perspective.
Needless to say I highly recommend her.

Sunshine surf retreat in Costa Rica was absolutely incredible. From incredible surf instructors to tasty food - this trip had it all. This was the best vacation I’ve ever had! Such great vibes and great people I didn’t have to worry about a thing. There was always a fun activity planned but no pressure to do it all. Desi and Delphine were such good hosts, they just made the experience so much more fun. 10/10 can’t recommend this more and the food was also 20/10 with amazing Louis and Rebe as our private chef ls who were cooking fresh local cuisine! Thanks so much for this life changing experience!

What an INCREDIBLE experience! By far my most favorite vacation I have ever taken. I knew Desi from LA surfing - and trusted her expertise when taking the first crew down to CR. Every detail of this trip was thought through, considered, and completely HANDLED - leaving all the guests to only have fun and relax. I really, really appreciated the in-house chef during the retreat, as searching for food / restaurants in a new country is always a bit stressful for me and my sensitive stomach!
The surf conditions in Tamarindo and the beaches that Desi / Del took us to were PERFECT for surfing beginners (gentle waves, warm water, not crowded) and the teachers were all so kind, fun, and helpful. IF you are a gal looking to take her first "solo" international trip - this is the IDEAL experience since you will be grouped with like minded, adventurous souls. The crew was all women when I went and it felt like a week of adult summer camp! Truly an unforgettable experience.
