For a university run operation, it was a good night's rest. Extremely clean. Very quiet. No dogs, no kids... Not a resort by any means. It functions as designed to house people from out of the area for university related business, medical treatments, studies, etc.

The room is quite clean, fairly spacious, with decent sunlight, very safe & comfortable to stay. ||Self-service coffee & tea available 24/7; and there is Verve Coffee Stand right next to the building if you want some gourmet coffee & bakery. ||Highly recommend & will be back next time in the Bay Area. I enjoyed my stay there. Many thanks!

This is my second stay here. The room is small, but I'm traveling on my own and it fits my needs. I like the breakfast buffet and I have a refrigerator in my room for stashing a few cans of diet soda; not sure if all of the rooms have this but was happy to find it here. My son is at Stanford so I like running into so many people that have some kind of connection to the university. People are friendly including the the staff. Room is kept clean and the bed is comfortable. Very nice TV, better than what I have at home. I did rent a car, and with that it is very short ride to the campus. There is a Safeway down the street and I discovered a cozy and friendly Mexican Restaurant next to that - El Cerrito - which enjoyed so much I took my son and two of his friends there last night. I did hear a little noise through the walls occasionally so it might bother a light sleeper in the morning, but for me it was not a problem. The Stanford Guest Hour is not fancy, but I feel very comfortable here and will stay here again. I really like it here!

The rooms are compact-not a lot of room to around and the shower is very compact. That said, this hotel had extremely friendly front desk and breakfast staff. There is a shuttle bus from campus that runs every 30 minutes that was very convenient to campus and the hospital (does not run on weekends) but then the hotel shuttle did on demand. The breakfast starts at 6:30, but the coffee/hot drink machine is always available (Loved that and the choices for tea, french vanilla, latte, etc). There is a Starbucks in the parking lot, open weekdays only. No restaurant, but door dash does deliver. WiFi. Accessible. Would stay there again. Very quiet.

This hotel is located conveniently on the University campus and has a bus that comes every 15 minutes to take the gusts to the hospital and other areas. They provide a decent breakfast, are very helpful. The rooms are very small but sufficient for 2 people. It is not walking distance but that is not an issue because the Stanford bus comes by so frequently. It is mostly for patients and their families who come from far away areas to be treated at Stanford or for consultation, |Breakfast is included and is quite good. There is a very nice sitting area with a garden like setting on the lower floor|The prices are reasonable. I highly recommend making arrangements months ahead of time. I have used it.|

I stayed 2 nights here while my husband was having a procedure at Stanford Hospital. I hope they understand how appreciative I am for their Stanford patient rate. When you're from out of town and your loved one is going through health issues, having to find an affordable/safe place to stay can be overwhelming.

Pros
- Price.
- Clean, no frills room.
- Mini fridge and microwave in room.
- Close to Stanford hospital (10 minutes depending on time of day).
- I felt very safe here, especially with the guard stand in the parking lot.
- No additional charge for parking, like nearby hotels.

Cons
- Parking.
- WiFi is hard to connect to and spotty.
- Noise/sounds carry. Bring a white noise machine if you're a light sleeper.
- There's no longer a continental breakfast (I assume that's a post-COVID thing).
