Excellent sand dab charter. The deckhands, Devin and Jake, were sabiki superstars in getting everyone unsnagged and fish off the hooks. They had tons of fish to filet at the end and they were working hard! We have been on other fishing charters in various places, but they were the best crew. Everyone seemed to have had a blast and caught a large amount of sand dabs and some mackerel. I would recommend this charter for fishermen of all levels.

An awesome whale and shark watching adventure. It lasts about 4 hours. Go on a weekday. There was only 20 other people on the boat. Sidney takes great photos and posts them on social media so don't worry about not having a great camera.

Summary: The deckhands are inexperienced, and the captain will waste the time of everyone in dead spots where no one is catching anything for 20+ minutes to save gas, and will spend the last hour of the trip cleaning the fish in the middle of the ocean instead of fishing longer, or go back to the harbor and clean it there, and besides all that, he's SUPER RUDE too and will regularly yell at people who are there just to have fun.

I hooked into a trophy personal record lingcod, 15+ lbs for sure, I fought with the ling for more than 5 minutes, took multiple multiple runs, taking drag and all, once I eventually got it near the surface, and shouted for help so one of the deckhands come gaff it with the multiple gaffs on the boat, the deckhand came, and instead of gaffing it, for a mysterious reason, he held the tip of my rod (YOU SHOULD NEVER HOLD THE TIP OF SOMEONE'S ROD WHILE FIGHTING A BIG FISH), immediately I lost control of the fish as the my rod tip is now held by the inexperienced deckhand, and the fish swang hard, flattened the hook, and swam away. Ironically, the deckhand said "that has been happening to us since the morning", no wonder! Frustrated, I decided not to give my rockfish to the deckhand to clean (specially that they do a horrible job cleaning, as they don't offer scaling if you want the whole fish, which many people do, unlike many charter boats which offer scaling as a standard service). The captain seeing me gutting my own fish with my tools, HE YELLED AT ME "NOT ON MY BOAT, YOU GIVE THE FISH TO THE DECKHAND TO CLEAN AND PAY HIM", I was shocked at his rudeness, and Snippiness, I put my fish back in my bag, and decided I will never board this boat again.

If you want a nice captain, good cleaning with scaling for whole fish, not losing trophy fish, and bigger fish overall, drive a little more to Monterrey, they have much nicer people. I brought 5 of my friends with me that day, and I know I will be taking my business elsewhere to nicer more experienced people from now on.

Excellent service with experienced captain and very helpful crews. 3 of us exceeded our total legal limit yesterday in the twilight fishing trip. The captain kept guiding novice guys like us. His tips were very useful. Locations were also spot on. We got so many doubts quickly after dropping lines. Crews were running around helping everyone. Highly recommended!

Great process getting to the boat. Crew was amazing! Wonderful time fishing with the family!! It was my kids first time out on a boat and the crew was very friendly with tips on how to be successful. Would recommend to everyone. Social distancing was accomplished as well!!

Very fun experience, not for those who get seasick though! The boat takes you quite far out. We got to see humpback whales and two kinds of dolphins. The crew is funny and knowledgeable!

Did a 7 hour deep sea trip for rockfish! Great trip with friendly, helpful crew! Got my limit on rockfish and Lincod with nice sized fish all around! Great day on the water!

A great opportunity for whale watching in Santa Cruz. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and they know exactly where to go to see the cool stuff. We went out just for whales but then they also found some great white sharks and otters too, so that was an unexpected bonus. The on board accommodations are a little tight but everyone is moving around the boat constantly anyways so it's not really a problem. The on board food was cheaper than expected also. The check in office is annoyingly far away from the boat, and the parking is paid by the hour (unless you park in the nearby neighborhood), so just make sure you have enough time
