5 star and 10 / 10 for this property. I alone, and with my family, have stayed at this property a few times while traveling up and down California. We make a point of staying here. Always a warm welcome from staff, happy to assist. Front desk representatives amazing. Great access to freeway. Restaurant available right next door or fast food nearby. Great breakfast with many options. Will stay again.

Nice central CA place to stop on the way north or south. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Back of the hotel overlooks Route 99, but very quiet. Good complimentary breakfast. Diner adjacent for lunch and dinner. Pool, gym and spa are clean and well-maintained.

Friendly receptionist, sets the tunes in a nice way.
Ask for the room that doesn’t go to the highway. It is insanely loud. No sound barrier at all and the window doesn’t provide enough protection. The noise was annoying even with earplugs, I didn’t get a good rest.
The breakfast is finished by 9am, I didn’t catch this when I was unloaded with all the information during my check in so next morning I was late and didn’t have my breakfast.
The recommendation to have dinner at Black Bear was amazing. It’s really a good place with fantastic food and small European portions (if you can’t eat that much).

I am currently staying in room 206, having checked in on June 22nd and planning to check out on June 24, 2024. My experience so far has been deeply disappointing and unacceptable for several reasons:

1. Disturbing Night Experience: The TV randomly turned on at 2 AM at a very loud volume. The remote was on the nightstand, so this incident was quite unsettling and disruptive to our sleep.
2. Fridge Issues: The fridge in the room is missing a bar to hold drinks in place and doesn’t cool anything down, rendering it completely non-functional. Its placement under the sink in a dirty, dusty, and grimy area is unsanitary and unacceptable.
3. Lack of Customer Support: When we reported these issues to customer service, our complaints were undermined, and no effective solutions were offered. This has been the case since the beginning of our stay. As a result, we have had no cold drinks, despite bringing snacks and beverages that require refrigeration. This has forced us to spend extra money buying overpriced snacks and drinks from the hotel or making inconvenient trips to nearby stores.
4. Ice Machines and Temperature Control: With outside temperatures over 100 degrees here in Madera, the lack of a working fridge is extremely problematic. Moreover, the ice machines on our floor don’t work, and the air conditioner hardly functions, making the room unbearably uncomfortable.
5. Room Condition: The overall condition of the room is appalling. The floors and carpets are dusty and dirty, leaving marks on our feet if we walk barefoot. The room feels old and outdated. Additionally, the shower head is broken, squirting water in all directions.
6. Ignored Requests: I ordered three bath towels from the staff over an hour ago, and our request has been completely ignored. This level of neglect is unacceptable.
7. Staff Response: When we requested to move to another room, the staff member working claimed no other rooms were available, showing a complete lack of willingness to address our concerns.

Frankly, this experience is far from what I expect from a Marriott hotel. The level of service and room condition is more akin to a budget motel than a reputable hotel chain. This has been by far the worst hotel experience in the area, and I am extremely dissatisfied with my stay. This is utterly unacceptable for a brand like Marriott, and I am appalled by the poor service and conditions encountered here.

We've stated here twice. It's in a good location, about 8 minutes away from mayor retail stores. Staff is super nice, friendly and helpful. They also have a good variety to select from for breakfast (it's free) and their beds are comfortable.

Extended family all booked 4 night stay here for family reunion (10 rooms); we arrived late night Saturday and were promptly greeted & checked in by Christopher. All the staff we encountered were great, remembering us and when we returned in the evening asked how day; also very helpful with resetting our key cards (which kept being demagnetized).

The suite was spacious with a nice lounge/desk area, kitchenette and very comfortable double beds. Even though we were near the elevator and ice machine, there was no issues with noise. For that matter, the hotel is conveniently located right off of the highway but we did not notice any issues with traffic noise.

Complementary breakfast is served daily. The first morning we actually came down early (at 5 AM) and the hotel staff was kind enough to give my toddler a bowl of cereal/ milk. Breakfast standards were coffee/tea/juice, fresh fruit, bagels, toast, oatmeal and waffle stations, hot breakfast items like eggs, sausage, jimmy dean sandwiches, quiches etc. Huge daily savings for us with such a large family to feed.

In addition to having a complementary water station out, they had fresh popcorn and cookies; and the lobby has a small shop where they sell food/snack items, beer/wine/pop and small travel items. The front desk also has emergency personal care items like sewing kit, feminine products, etc.

We spent our time off property but there was a nice workout room and pool area. There is also a business center but for me internet access was an issue so I wouldn’t count on it being accessible there. Special shout out to Dez who spent time explaining route & set up for Yosemite Valley; he saved us so much travel time by explaining best place to park and visit the sites we wanted to see.

The staff on the checkin desk in the evening as well in the morning as exceptionally friendly. Same goes to the lady who too care of the breakfast. The room was perfectly clean and prepared. (A nice gesture to have the extra bed slightly pulled out. That helps and avoids a search. All little things.) Breakfast was standard but good quality and clean. For sure one of the best run SpringHill Suites I've ever been to.
Place is next to the highway but the room facing the other way was quiet for us.
Pool is currently under construction (actively being worked on, not a forever state)

Staff is top notch, the rooms are clean.
I have stayed here multiple times now on business. Though this will be the last review I write from this establishment.
The internet is questionable at best. The last two times I have stayed here. The internet has been out of service for 18hrs and this time for over a day. I have had to cancel zoom meetings etc. as a result. The management doesn't put a priority on getting it fixed.
If you're staying on business be forewarned. This ISN'T a place to stay if you need any sort of connectivity for business.
