Poor Hotel Management!!

While the facilities are adequate, the atmosphere created by the management's treatment of staff is unsettling. Mirian Leon should NOT be in charge of any staff, let alone one that’s focused in hospitality. It is clear that employees are under constant pressure. Employees seem stressed and overworked, often scrambling to meet unreasonable demands. There is a noticeable lack of support for staff. This culture of fear and harassment not only demoralized the employees but also diminished the overall guest experience.

A hotel's success relies heavily on the well-being of its staff. A supportive management team is crucial for creating a positive environment for both employees and guests. Unfortunately, Spring Hill suites fails in this regard, and I hope they address these issues for the sake of their hardworking team and future guests. I cannot recommend this hotel until significant changes are made in their management practices.

My only issue with the hotel was the pool. It was tiny but also freezing. Not just the water itself but the entire room. I purposely booked a hotel with a pool for my kids and you couldn't even sit there without being fully dressed. Also the drain system is terrible and the entire floor gets covered in water . You have to be extremely careful when walking so you don't slip and fall.

Everyone here has been extremely kind and professional. My room was reasonably nice and clean. Decent deal I'd say.

If your looking for an accessible room due to physical needs, be cautious. Rooms are spacious enough to handle maneuvering a wheelchair, but other handicap amenities were lacking. No vertical grab bars, not even in shower. Tub/ shower did not have any seat, and when I requested a shower chair there was not one to be found. Since it was a tub/ shower combination, no way for me to shower as I can't stand. Ended up bringing a pool chair up and putting it half way in to the tub. Just not ideal set up. Excellent breakfast, very friendly staff.

My family and I had a great stay however, an envelope full of money went missing from one of our rooms and the staff was very unfriendly when we reached out to report it. We had signs up to not come in our rooms to clean so I don’t know how it could have gone missing unless someone went in there to clean while we were gone for the day. That’s why I didn’t rank this hotel higher. Other than that the hotel was nice.

I was disappointed with the room layout. Expected the bedroom to be separated from the living area with a door or partial wall, but the place was open design concept. I get up early and wanted to make coffee without waking my spouse which was impossible to do.
The breakfast is very nice and the lady taking care of the buffet was very nice and attentive to everyone.
Also disappointed that the coffee is removed after breatfast.

I must say I read the reviews and I noticed that one personnel was has highly commended his name was Dequann (sorry if I missed spelled it wrong) and the person who checked me in was so very nice and helpful I asked him his name and he said dequann😊 I like the room only thing the sofa is a little low for my taste but everything is good so far....I wanted to add The ladies in charge of breakfast extremely nice and helpful also I was so touched with Anna expression of kindness by walking my elderly husband to the van to make sure he was safely inside...the only thing I would say is the toilets are very low but overall would stay here again

Clean hotels. Great customer service from both housecleaning and front desk staff. Good location from downtown Chicago if you want to stay away from the traffic.
