When we took a trip to Reno in Sept. of 2019, we did the Donner Party tour with Sierra Adventures. They were great. The guy (forgive me I don't remember his name) picked us up from the hotel, we went to the office to sign the agreement and for him to get things in order for the trip. Probably about 30 minutes. It wasn't a big deal it was a nice view of the stream going through town. The whole drive was a couple of hours around the whole area starting in Reno and then driving almost half way around Lake Tahoe. The tour guide had snacks, drinks and a lot of information about buildings and places. The half way was at the Donner museum which was interesting (not as much as the actual tour), the car broke down but (can't remember why) we took a break at a nearby seating area till it was squared away. They we got on our way. It was really fun and one of the highlights of our trip. I would definitely use them again for another tour of the area.

We took the Snowmobile tour. Iβm 64 and enjoyed the hell out of it. So much FUN! We were picked up at the casino and driven an hour to the tour starting point. Tour lasted about 2 1/2 hours. They also provided snacks & beverages for the trip back to hotel. The staff was courteous. Our tour guide was patient with the first-timers, but was very skilled & non-beginners would find it challenging. He was friendly & generous with his smile. I would so recommend this trip.

It was a really fun experience and the instructors were really nice. The instructors taught me some things I didn't know about kayaking.

I took my swim team to Reno for a swim meet last year and saw people tubing the river. This year we booked a guided float down the river. It went great! Sierra Adventures brought high quality tubes, life vests, and helmets. We had a blast going down the river and I felt safe with all my athletes going down - the most important part. We will definitely book another river float with Sierra Adventures next year. Thank you Jim and crew for a great time.

Had a great time today doing a last minute kayak trip. Had a group of six.....three experienced and three not. They made sure everyone was comfortable with equipment and Tim (our guide) stayed with us the whole time and showed us the best lines in the river.
Got to hang out with Tim and the owner after the trip...and they were genuinely some cool dudes to hang with. The river isnβt crazy....but a good relaxing ride with some good rapids at the end.
Looking forward to coming back and doing the ATV and clay shooting trip. Would recommend.

Overall, a great experience. There were some hiccups in contact and being able to discuss options for tours and rentals but once that was completed everything went better than we could have hoped. Our guide Tim was friendly and professional with an eye on safety that was reassuring. We got a briefing on kayaking and safety before getting in the water, instructions on the water on techniques and routing through rapids, and periodic check ins and reassurance throughout the tour. My daughter and I had a great time and I recommend this company to any visitors to Reno with the caveat that you leave plenty of time to make contact with them prior to arrival in town as apparently they don't have a dedicated and separate shop staff and guide staff . This results in lag time for communication when the guides are out.

We were 15 min early for our 10:00 appt as we were told an upon arrival at 9:45 they told us we'd be going at 11 and were told by the owner "oh well". We had a group of 4 for the tubing. At 11 they took us to our drop off point. I asked how long it takes to get to the destination and was told 2hrs. We were given the most rancid smelling life vests and helmets which mine had a big break in the back. We arrived back with tubes n equipment at the 2hr mark to not have anyone there for 45minutes. We couldn't just leave the stuff unattended as they take your debit card, not just the number but your card and said we'd be charged for any missing equipment....$200+ for a tube. One of the most unprofessional businesses I've ever dealt with. The tubing was fun, but next time I'll drive to Tahoe City for a good experience all the way around
