Ecuador/ Galapagos: ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a family cultural rich experience. Everything is planned from activities, transportation, and food. We had great guides and drivers throughout which was particularly of importance in a country that I don’t speak the language and has mixed safety concerns. Great mix of hiking, educational, cultural experiences, swimming and snorkeling. It was the first trip the words, “mom, I’m bored” were NEVER spoken. The best review is not only my own but my daughters and she had the time of her life. She loved Ecuador which speaks to Bill and his planning as well as the guides he found to work with and support him. Happy to visit more with anyone interested in going that has questions.

My family and I went to Peru for an 11 day trip. It was an amazing experience. Everything was so well organized and made so easy on us. Our kids are 7 and 9, they loved it equally much. We went hiking in the Amazons, piranha fishing, Machu Picchu, and so much more. We have already signed up for another adventure to Iceland with Bill.

Wow! I never thought I could do so much in one week. My trip to Iceland was truly one of a kind. Well planned. Amazing sights and adventures. Beautiful country. I’ll take my son on my next trip to Iceland.

My family has travelled twice on their eco trip to Costa Rica. I highly recommend the experience. We loved it all- the warm and informative trip leaders, group of interesting families, variety of locations, and learning experiences. On one trip, we patrolled the Caribbean beach at night to witness leatherback sea turtles laying eggs and helped gather to protect those eggs. Later we released young hatchlings onto the beach and watched them make their first journey to the ocean. On another trip, we ventured to the Osa Peninsula on the Pacific side to help scientists catch, tag and assess the health of green sea turtles and olive ridley sea turtles. We helped plant vegetation along the shore to prevent erosion. We also enjoyed the beach, ziplining, hikes in the rainforest, whitewater rafting and visits to an organic farm, coffee plantation and local school. We saw it all!

My husband, myself, and our two kids had an amazing trip to Costa Rica this summer with Bill. The trip was memorable, action packed, and simply incredible. It was the perfect balance of education, activity, and relaxation. He made sure to build in some afternoons spent at the pool so that we could recharge. I think the best part was that we didn't have to do any research or make any decisions. The trip was planned for us and was full of activities that we wouldn't have otherwise planned for ourselves. I cannot recommend highly enough!!

We enthusiastically recommend Bill Burton's Family Science Adventures! We have already been on three amazing adventures led by the intrepid Mr. Burton: Costa Rica, Ecuador and Iceland, with our two girls (initially aged 5 and 9 ). What we love most about FSA is the outstanding value of the whole package, from the flights through the accommodations to the incredible array of activities. I would challenge anyone to put together a similarly full (or fun) itinerary for anything close to the cost of a FSA adventure! We also love how the adventures are kid-oriented, first and foremost, for maximum enjoyment for kids and families. We have never had easier vacations with our kids before FSA! It is the ultimate stress-free, safe and experience-rich adventure. Everything is taken care of, the flights, the baggage handling, the meals, and extreme science-filled fun adventures!

Took my wife and 3 sons (11, 10, 8) on an amazing adventure with FSA to Costa Rica. The trip was a fantastic journey across the country through too many different areas to highlight here. The guides were fantastic - striking the right balance of education and fun, and the individual excursion and educational adventures equally as exciting. I recommend anyone looking for a one of a kind family/science adventure check out FSA’s offerings. You won’t regret it, and you’ll make memories for a lifetime.

Bill is the best science experience leader in the business. Last year, he took my two boys and I on a trip to Costa Rica on a group tour. It was an unforgettable experience. Leading up to the trip, Bill was extremely responsive and hospitable. His preparedness and knowledge around any trip he leads is unmatched. If you are going on an eco-trip, Bill is the person to hire!
