Went up to stay here for 2 nights in an RV. They had a water hook up and a 50 amp hookup at the site. You check in at the bar by the main entrance to the property. They also sell ice and wood at the bar. It is cash only there.

The land is really beautiful and they have a lot of regular tent camping spots as well.

The family that runs the site is all very friendly and made you feel welcomed. The bar on site was good as well. You can tell they care about it and have been trying to make improvements.

Make sure to book your tubes ahead of time. There were several large groups the same day as us and they seemed to fill up spots fast.

There was a very nice public toilet/wash house up at the front by the tubing check in area.

The drop in point was at the back of the campground and it was a nice 3 mile float. We stopped on some of the sand bar and again right before the pick up slot. We didn't have to wait long to get back in the van they had set up. I would definitely come back and stay here again.

We tubed and stayed at Sandy Shores and it was a great weekend! Tubing was fun and well organized. A great family activity.
The Amish cabin was top notch!! Glamping at its finest. All the amenities of home but camping at the heart! We loved it and will return. It was a perfect stay for our family of four. Thanks so much Sandy Shores.

Owners are very friendly and organized. This was our 2nd year staying on their property and we’ll be back next year! They have a clean and family friendly campground. Tubing is conveniently located on property as well. All 15 of us were hooked together while tubing which was awesome! Don’t forget to bring cash!

So much fun! Low water levels didn’t stop the fun or great experience with the staff at Sandy Shores. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Low key fun floating down the River took a couple hours. One of the tubes got a pin hole and was slowly deflating - no problem! We just called the number and they sent a tube down to get to us at a sand bar. It was a nice 40 min break while we ate our lunch and explored the shores. Ride back to start was fine in the dusty wet van. If you don’t like nature, mysteries in a river, or dirt, this probably isn’t for you. Our group of 14 from ages 14 to 50 loved it!

tubing - excellent experience, loved that it was self paced and could be as long or short as you wanted it to be. well priced, loved the included shuttle and more. we had a wonderful float.

camping - mostly great. i wish the tent camping area sites with electric were a little further away from the main bar area and the road. overall, though, the two spots were plenty of space for three couples and we all enjoyed our stay. bathrooms were clean and loved having flushable toilets in walking distance, didn't use showers as they were quarter operated which I wasn't about, but they seemed good.

I'd definitely recommend this place and will likely come back.

We had the most amazing time on this float! Our plans elsewhere fell through and they were able to accommodate our group of 19 quickly and with the best customer service! Which is a miracle in and if itself. The staff made the day for the 10 kids in our group and were vigilant to make sure we had a safe fun float! I recommend them 10 times over and would give them more stars if I could. You will not be disappointed it is a beautiful float!

We had a fantastic time camping and Tubing with Sandy Shores. I have only a few very small complaints. First the good stuff: the sites are well maintained. the bathrooms were immaculate and smelled wonderful with new cedar lined walls. They came to us and told us when they had changed the Float times due to weather and they were flexible with the float location which allowed us to float in the afternoon even thought it had rained and other tubing companies were not running floats. The owner was friendly and the staff was helpful.

The small complaints: tent camping with Power and water is in a very open area minimal privacy. it is basically just a large field around a pond. our sites were quite small and shallow so we were close to the road, but close the the main buildings which has pros and cons. though other sites had more space to spread out.

However this would absolutely have been a 5 star review if they had a picture of the camp ground map published on thier web page so that I could have requested specific camp sights as there were areas that we would have preferred to give us more space and privacy, but we did not know that until we arrived and since part of our group arrived before the rest of us it was hard for us to make changes at that point.

this is a supper fun place to stay with friendly staff and very nice bathrooms/ showers. the only thing that would have improved out say would have been able to see a map to chose our campsite.
