I had a great time sailing on The Gift. The Captain and Crew were very knowledgeable, higly experienced, and friendly. I encourage others to sail the open sea on The Gift and experience the sea in a way only possible on a sailboat.

Family and I sailed with Cpt. Steve and his first mate Kevin. There was a chance of rain but it held off for most of the trip. We had to cut it short by 30 minutes but it was great. He was really good with following the weather and we were able to get back to our car before it started raining. We were able to go up and down the coast and over to nubble lighthouse in York. It was beautiful, relaxing, and we shared many stories with the captain. The boat was very nice and comfortable. They let you roam about after they are underway and there is a bathroom on board. Highly recommend!

This is a great way to see the coast of Maine. Anybody can do a powerboat, but a sailboat takes skill and it’s actually quite beautiful. Great local flavor, great guys and even a little bit of history.

THE BEST! We had the most amazing, peaceful sail on The Gift and the Captain and his second had the most interesting and fun stories to share - always a highlight! We saw a sunfish while out there and it was truly one of the most incredible (and cute) things I've ever seen. Highly highly recommend and we will be taking another sail with The Gift on our next trip up north!!!

easy to book, easy to find. Captain and crew were friendly and knowledgeable. The sail itself was so much fun. Would totally recommend for anyone visiting with an hour and a half to spare.

Steve ( Captain) and his first mate Kevin perform just an astounding sail off of Perkins Cove. Steve’s extensive knowledge and experience sailing in the area for 50+ years really shines on this cruise. His boat is certified by the Coast Guard and hence you do not need to constantly wear a life jacket. Steve mixes in history , geography, and culture of ME and surrounding harbors. Just a truly great experience. Cannot more highly recommend.

We sailed "The Gift" out of Perkins Cove in Ogunquit while on vacation this summer. It was a delightful trip. I thoroughly enjoyed it! We spent about 90 minutes under sail on the ocean. The captain and mate were very knowledgeable. The Gift is a 40 foot sailboat, and so it offers an intimate view of the ocean and Ogunquit area.

An important note: This might not be a good trip for those with limited mobility. There are some steep stairs to board the ship, and you'll probably be sitting on seat cushions on the cabin, so your seat will likely be low and with no back. When sailing on the leeward side, your feet feel like they are dangling only a few inches above the water. Be sure to wear sturdy sneakers; I wouldn't want to have to navigate the boat with flip-flops! But Captain Steve has installed a railing all around the deck, so I never felt unsafe on The Gift.

Overall, this was a wonderful experience. I plan to make this an annual part of my Maine vacation.
