An absolutely OUTSTANDING experience. Both captains were very welcoming and gracious hosts. Didn’t feel touristy in the slightest! We have a wonderful sail 5 miles out.

We had the most incredible experience on the Alyosha! The captains were amazing and super accommodating, ensuring every detail was perfect. Had the most awesome experience seeing the fireworks from the inlet on July 4th on the Alyosha! We had a very nice sunset cruise north up the coast before heading back to catch the fireworks. Since the ocean was a little choppy, Captain Steve was planning on anchoring behind Assateague Island which would still give us a nice view without bouncing all around. As we headed back the inlet, he decided to turn around and stay in the inlet and keep us positioned (not anchored!) right before the ocean. This gave us a prime viewing spot without the chop. Given that the show was delayed at least 1/2 hour, this was no easy task for him as he was fighting the current the whole time (plus during the show). The result was a tremendous experience of seeing the fireworks from a unique spot and being able to head back to dock before all the traffic all while keeping us very safe on the dark ride back. (Gave him a tip while disembarking in appreciation for the extra effort and the extra gas used.) This is not our first time enjoying a cruise on the Alyosha and definitely won't be our last! Highly recommend any of the adventures they offer!

Definitely some top tier memories made for us this vacation. Went on the Assateague Island Sunset cruise with kids and grandparent, couldn't ask for a better experience from the smooth ride to the friendly captain and crew. Signed up for The Big Blue right away for our next adventure and got to experience 6 hours of sailing, went out 20 miles offshore and had a wonderful time. Looking forward to sailing again next trip ⛵️

I have been wanting to learn to sail for years. Either no time or money or both. This was a last second booking to finally get out on the water and Captain Steve and Kyle were fantastic. I highly recommend booking them. I wish I had longer on the boat and I discussed options of private charters in the future. The one "downside" would be that I don't think I'll be able to suppress the desire to learn much longer. Me, my wife, and 8 year old throughly enjoyed every second. Excellent trip!

The Alyosha is an amazing experience. The crew is fantastic and no matter if you are a seasoned sailor and do a long excursion or choose to do a back bay sunset cruise, you will not be disappointed. We have been several times for 2-3 hour cruises out of OC and even recently went on the Alyosha for their week long St John adventure.

Captain Steve and Co-Captain Sarah were nothing short of amazing! We had the most magical wedding day aboard the Alyosha and couldn’t have asked for better!!!
