SA Expeditions did an excellent job preparing our tour package. From the beginning, Claudia was outstanding—she reached out to us and worked closely to design an itinerary that fit both our budget and our specific interests. We wanted to see the major tourist sights, but also experience cultural, culinary, and local venues, and Claudia made sure all of that was incorporated.

She was extremely knowledgeable and created a program that perfectly matched the length of our stay. The itinerary struck a great balance—keeping us engaged with activities while also leaving plenty of time to relax, shop, enjoy the spa, or simply unwind poolside at our hotel.

Claudia was not only professional, but also incredibly understanding and easy to work with. We truly appreciated her efforts and would absolutely use SA Expeditions again. We highly recommend their services to anyone planning a thoughtfully curated and enjoyable travel experience.

We just returned from an incredible trip to the Galapagos Island and the Amazon and I wanted to take time to write about SA Expedition in appreciation.
A very big thank you to the SA team for every single detail that they planned and executed so meticulously for us. Starting from timely airport pickups to the choice of wonderful hotels / lodges to well planned meals and carefully curated activities, excursions and even the details that our guides had trying to incorporate for special needs with my husbands post surgery state - it was all very well taken care of.
To say that we had a trip of a lifetime is an understatement. Our children have rated this trip 10/10, which is not an easy feat to accomplish, especially with today’s generation that is so stuck on their screens all the time.

From the moment we landed in Lima to the time we left the country, every moment of our journey was flawlessly planned. Matt put together for our family a trip of a lifetime exploring many areas of Peru including Lake Titicaca which was a very cool addition to the traditional 7 day itinerary. Through the planning process, Matt was flexible and creative in putting together a custom itinerary that included activities that were best for our family. Once in Peru, the service was spectacular- Every driver and tour guide we had was kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable. We were treated like their family. Jorge was our guide for 6 days in Cuzco, Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley. He was exceptional and will forever be a part of our family. (Highly recommended requesting him!). William down in the Lake Titicaca area was also such a delight. As the person who typically is in charge of all logistics, it was such a luxury to be a traveler rather than planner and to simply enjoy. I can’t say enough about SA. This was our first time using the company and I will be working with Matt to plan our next adventure in Central America. Do not hesitate to work with SA. Simply amazing.

Our trip to Costa Rica planned by Hellen Gamarra of SA Expeditions was absolutely amazing. We were in awe of the wildlife. We saw many sloths, monkeys and so many other animals. Each area we went was special. The trip to Tortuguero was unlike any other. Very fun.

The hospitality of everyone was truly special. Our guides were so knowledgeable and friendly. The standout was our driver/host, Filipe, who quickly felt like a good friend showing us his country and sharing his love of the people and places. We loved having him with us for so much of the trip. He made us feel welcome, safe and comfortable.

This was a different style of travel for us and we absolutely loved it. Everything went so smoothly. Although we did not need it, having the 24-hour emergency number was a comfort to us.

We appreciate all of Hellen's work on the front end arrangements to customize everything specific to our interests. For future big trips, we will certainly call on SA Expeditions again and will spread the word to friends and family.

I recently went on a 5 day Galapagos cruise that was planned down to a T by Caleb, one of the destination experts at SA Expeditions. I have never booked with a travel agent before and I cannot tell you how much stress I avoided by having a pro plan everything for me, everything from airport taxi pickups in the middle of the night, having a guide to help me through getting the Galapagos visitor pass process at the airport, and the actual cruise experience itself. Caleb virtually walked me through the whole trip and what to expect, even down to taxi transfers, offering suggestions and recommendations for my short stop in Guayaquil. He is the man.

It is not an exaggeration to say this trip truly reignited a child-like sense of wonder and excitement I have not felt in many many years. The cruise company SA expeditions sent me with was outstanding, with a highly knowledgeable guide/naturalist, outstanding food, attentive crew and comfortable cabins/lounging areas on the boat. The wildlife and scenery we encountered was truly out of this world. I have always been hesitant to go with a travel agent but for certain once in a lifetime experiences, it is absolutely worth it.

SA Expeditions and Jackie Becker, the person who put our trip together did a wonderful job! At every point of contact, we felt taken care of. Our birding guide in Ecuador and city guide in Quito were knowledgeable and enjoyable. It was important that we told Jackie what our primary goals were. She delivered on all of them! We went both to the Mashpi Lodge in the Mendo Forest of Ecuador, and on the boat Coral I for seven days traveling around the Galápagos Islands. Wonderful memories!

Melissa from SA Expeditions was an incredible travel agent for us! It was our first time booking a long expedition to both Rio and the Amazon with lots of details to be accounted for but they covered everything and more. Each time and guide was perfectly coordinated to get us to our next destinations. Their tour guides are extremely knowledgable. Their suggestions were greatly helpful throughout the booking process. It was a 10/10 experience and I can’t wait to book my next trip with them!

Our trip to the Galapagos on board the Galaxy and organized by Jackie Becker at SA Expeditions was an incredible experience. Jackie was very proactive and communicative in the preparation, providing us a live link to updates to our itinerary so we always knew what was planned. She paired us with an excellent experienced guide in Quito for a day-trip to Cotopaxi and environs. The Galaxy crew was friendly and helpful, the boat is very comfortable, the food delicious and plentiful. With a maximum of 16 guests, there is a chance to get to know and enjoy other fellow nature enthusiasts. Our guide Alexis was a native of the islands and extremely well-informed and friendly. He kept us very busy with 4 activities a day, including snorkeling, short island hikes and dinghy rides into the mangroves where we saw all the Galapagos wildlife up close and personal.
