This was my first running retreat and my first experience with Run Wild Retreats. It was far more than I hoped for & I absolutely loved every minute of it! The women on this retreat have been incredible to spend time with & I now have 7 new friends that I am positive I will be in touch with in the future. It was an honor to be surrounded with strong, powerful, like-minded women who enjoy the sport of running. Jan, the Retreat Leader, was just phenomenal! Not only as a person but as a lifelong athlete with so much wisdom to share and improve our running techniques. She was so organized and took care of every detail and kept us on schedule and we didn’t have to worry about any of the logistics, meals, scheduling, etc. it was nice to step away and let someone handle all of that for you! As a solo traveler I immediately felt safe & secure & was able to just relax and enjoy the entire experience. I also can’t say enough about Canada! We stayed in such beautiful areas and saw beauty on the trails that looked like it wasn’t real or like it was a postcard. It was stunning! My only thought is where to next Don’t hesitate to choose Run Wild Retreats to nurture your body & your soul and to push yourself on challenges in new, beautiful surroundings! I’m so glad I did!

I just got back from the most amazing Irish running retreat with Margaret as our group leader! It was an incredible week filled with inspiration, new friends, and breathtaking scenery. Margaret was an absolute rockstar - kind, supportive, and so much fun to be around.
Our group of women was incredibly smart and strong, and we all clicked instantly. We supported and encouraged each other every step of the way, and it was amazing to see how we all grew and improved throughout the week.
Our Irish run guide, Michelle, was also fantastic. She brought so much culture, history, and positivity to our runs. And Ireland itself? Wow. The landscapes were like nothing I've ever seen before - lush green hills, rugged coastlines, and adorable villages. Every run felt like a dream come true.
The best part? This retreat pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best way possible. I learned that I'm capable of so much more than I thought, and I left feeling super confident and inspired.

Go Run Wild in Ireland!

Trip leader, Margaret, has a beautiful calming and supportive energy. She guided me to embrace my inner mountain goat and maximize my form to power up and ease down steep terrain. I have chronic knee pain, and with her help, I am now running uphill like I never thought possible, and have mitigating measures to run further downslope than before. Our local driver and trail guides, Philip and Michelle, made me feel so safe and uplifted with positivity, and their local knowledge of the landscape, history, and culture is an immense bonus. They’re great craic (and after you adventure through Ireland with them, you’ll know just what that means!) While the Irish trails are spectacular and at times surreal (running through a misty lakeside medieval monastery village in an idyllic sheep-strewn valley!) to my surprise what resonated most deeply with me was the warm friendliness of the Irish locals and the connections I felt with the people I met, both within and outside our group. This is a testament to the power of mindful presence and open-heartedness championed by Run Wild. I was concerned about the price tag of this retreat, and found the value above and beyond any other travel I’ve done on my own. Each day was so full of wonder, connection, and fun that in the end it seemed impossible only a week had passed. I’m ready to save up for another Run Wild adventure as soon as possible. I highly recommend running wild in Ireland!

Just completed a 7 day, level 1 trail run and mindfulness retreat on Vancouver Island! It was an amazing experience. I had never been on a retreat or travel tour before. It was well planned in terms of activities, transport and meals. In terms of fitness level, I consider myself to be fit, I am not a huge runner and have never run on trails. I did increase my running in preparation. I will say that I don’t typically run every day, but we did on this trip and the distance and effort felt very doable. The accommodations were beautiful, the food was amazing and I never went hungry! We had local guides and enjoyed amazing scenery as well as excursions. I had the opportunity to meet a wonderful group of women who share similar interest in being active and were also from varying backgrounds and stages of life. It was really amazing to be able to meet these women and spend time with them. I would absolutely recommend if you like the outdoors, are interested in running (whether it’s trail running or not), and want to experience a new adventure! I’m looking forward to planning my next trip with Run Wild! Recommend 10/10

I just returned from the Mediterranean Mindful Running Retreat and one word keeps coming to mind when I think of the experience - transformational. During this week, I grew so much as a runner and personally as well. I literally cried when I left this group of supportive women because I know that I'll never have this exact experience again and it was just life-changing for me. Liz Arnold was our Retreat Leader and she was truly born to do this. I cannot speak highly enough of her and all that she gave to our group over the duration of this trip. I absolutely recommend this retreat and hope to be able to register for another one again soon.

Iceland was my third trip with Run Wild Retreats, and I didn’t think it was possible, but each one is better than the last! This retreat was the perfect blend of sight-seeing, challenging but rewarding trail runs, and down time for rest and self-care. Icelandic people are friendly and proud to show off the overflowing natural beauty and rich culture of their country – I highly recommend it for anyone who loves travel. RWR is a great company to travel with because they take care of every detail, so I didn’t have to worry about planning a thing for myself while knowing I was going to have a jam-packed trip accompanied by like-minded curious and fun adventurous women. If you love running and love travel, look no further than RWR for all of your future trips, and bring a friend!

I have been on two Run Wild Retreats: the Costa Rica Trail Running + Wellness Retreat - Level II (January 2024) and, most recently, the Vancouver Island Trail Running + Wellness Retreat Spring - Level I (October 2024). Both experiences were exceptional in every aspect - from the retreat leaders and itineraries to the amazing accommodations, meals, scenery, and trails we ran. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with so many women who share my passion for running. These were all-around great experiences, and I am definitely planning to join another Run Wild Retreat in the future!
