Jamie helped us plan a local getaway for our 25th anniversary. We love exploring and having new adventures and experiences. We headed to Cape Cod for a September trip. Jamie chose the Hyannis area because it’s centrally located to the islands and mainland. The accommodations Jamie offered at the Holiday Inn hotel were so comfortable with a king size bed, fireplace, and personal jetted tub. The hotel restaurant served delicious breakfast every morning with friendly staff. We relaxed in the indoor pool and hot tub. The grounds were beautifully manicured with lush plants. We were minutes away from….everything! Although the weather turned stormy and windy, we found so much to do. Our favorite adventure was the Cape Cod railway with the domed car and 5 course dining option. We relaxed for 3 hours while traveling to the Bourne bridge and back while the conductor described scenic views, landscapes, and points of interest. The seating was so comfortable with a hospitable staff serving us delicious food and beverages all along the way. What a relaxing evening that was! One of our days adventures included stops at a couple breweries and the Truro Vineyard for some tastings and tempting food options. The Hog Island Brewery was especially fun with the pinball machines and classic video games. We dined at the nearby Yarmouth House with white linen table cloths and delicious menu for our first evening on our trip. My husband chose the Chicken Parm for the win! I had a scrumptious Gorgonzola sundried tomato spinach chicken pasta dish. We ended our trip with a stop in Sandwich to see the local area and found the Tree House Brewery located with a scenic view of the beach and bay. One last dining experience around the corner was at the Fisherman’s View restaurant for some dinner of fresh lobster, crab and tuna! We didn’t get a chance to ride our bikes while visiting the Cale with all the rain but the bike trails were conveniently located everywhere! We can’t wait to go back to explore more of the Cape. Thank You Jamie for heading us in the right direction and finding the perfect location to make lasting memories for our silver anniversary.
