We went out this afternoon at 1:00 on the Manatee Magic and Wildlife Safari and it was amazing. Our captain was Angelo, and he did an excellent job providing us with all of the history and background about the river. He explained all of the facts about the different houses. He pointed out all of the great restaurants on the river. He showed us Monkey Island and as you can see from the pictures, he found the manatees. I have never been that close to a gator they have onsite. The boat was clean and everyone was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this and we will definitely be back for some of their other tours.

We booked a "swim with Manatee Tour" with our Guide Krissy and Captain Angelo. Unfortunately, the weather was warmer the last days, so they were more out in the Sea, but we saw a lot of other animals like bald eagles, osprey, anhinga, turtles, stingray etc. Krissy knows everything about Wildlife, and Captain Angelo knows everything about Homosassa River.
We highly recommend a tour with River Safaris. Thank you guys for a great day on the River♥️

My friend and I had a wonderful time on the Manatee Magic and Wildlife tour. It was only a few weeks after Hurricane Helene and Milton hit this beautiful community but they were ready and willing to get back to work. Captain Ang was knowledgeable, entertaining and an incredible captain. We saw manatee, turtles, birds, and , of course, the resident alligators. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon of learning about your beautiful little town of Homosassa and your wildlife❤️ we will be back for the Mermaid to Manatee tour in December.

So much fun!!! Our captain, Irish Dave, was awesome!!!!! Very knowledgeable and informative and funny. I can not recommend this place enough. I've been on airboat rides a number of times, but this is by far the BEST!!!! We saw turtles, birds fish, gators, spider monkeys, and dolphins!!!! Just amazing if I could give more than 5 stars I would. My husband and I had the best time.

Unforgettable Manatee Experience with River Safaris!!!*

We came from Ontario, Canada on a manatee mission and this was a life changing experience! Our manatee excursion with River Safaris in Homosassa was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, the entire experience was seamless, educational, and truly unforgettable.

Our guide, James, was beyond knowledgeable—his passion for manatees and Florida wildlife was contagious, and he made sure we understood everything about these gentle giants before we even got in the water. He took the time to educate us about their behaviors, habitats, and conservation efforts, making the experience even more meaningful.

Captain Steph was equally amazing, navigating us smoothly through the beautiful waters of Homosassa and ensuring we were comfortable the entire time. Her enthusiasm for nature and wildlife was evident, and she went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience.

Once in the water, we had the most incredible, up-close encounters with the manatees. James guided us every step of the way, making sure we respected the animals while still allowing for an unforgettable, interactive experience. Seeing these gentle creatures up close, floating peacefully alongside them, was truly magical.

My family and I had a great time today with Capt. Ang. Beautiful scenery coupled with a knowledgeable and friendly captain. We would definitely bring friends again for another trip in these waters. We saw 20+ manatees!

Our Manatee Swim tour on the Homosassa River was better than I imagined. We took a chilly 7am semi private tour which meant we had the spring area just to the River Safari boats for quite a while. With so few people, we were all looking at different manatee at the same time. The wetsuits were really nice and once I got in the water, I stopped being cold. The mantee were like cats, in that they had no respect for our personal space, just their own. So I only recommend this type of tour if you are ok with the idea that you can't touch them, but the wildlife can touch you. The boat captains and in-water swim guides worked as a great team. They were vigilant in keeping track of where each person was in the water. I'm glad we splurged on the heated pontoon. A hoodie or towel over shoulders was helpful when we started off, but the heater was a nice touch when we got out of the water. I'm also glad we got their early enough to grab a breakfast sandwich at their little cafe. It was a nice option so early in the morning.
