We had a great time. Everyone was friendly and you could peddle as much or as little as you wanted because there is a battery assist if needed. Only one person gets to be “driver, but since it is an out and back you can change “drivers” ( those in control
Of the throttle for battery assist, and also in control of the brake) on the way back.
My granddaughter and I did this together. Fun games to play in the picnic area while you wait for your bike time to start.
The cafe was not open when we went, so check in that. You can bring your own goodies but water and popcorn are provided on the railbikes.

Perfect date night idea for couples wanting to get away from the city and enjoy the quiet ride along the river. The staff were friendly and attentive during the whole experience. The train carts were decorated festively and were very neat and clean. Have already recommended to many people we know and can’t wait to return for another ride!

We did the rail biking for 1 hour for the 10:00am slot. You have to get there earlier for the safety briefing, they have portable potties for you to use. There were around 10 rail bikes, they are motor assisted and have breaks, only one person can control this. If you do not want to pedal, the motor actually makes the bike go really fast. We used it here and there but mostly sweated our butts off biking. The views were great, alot of farmland, trees. Midway they turn the bikes around and we head back. They also gave us water and cliff bars and a coupon for a free mini pizza at Mod Pizza. We went there after for our little pizza treat. It was a fun experience!

Riding the rail bikes was an enjoyable experience. The staff were super friendly and well mannered. I would go if you are looking for a unique opportunity. My boys (9 and 11) had a blast.

Had an amazing time in the train. It was nice updated train cars. They had board games for people to play while riding on the train. It went a little slow for me I have ridden on other train rides that are faster but it may have to do with the amount of distance the train has ability to go on for the tracks. Will be back n in the future the only thing I would suggest if coming from out of area is to stay on the area so you are not stuck in traffic leaving Sacramento area after.

Great way to spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Scenic, casual ride through the rural countryside with views of the river, creek, and working farms. Nice staff. Fun atmosphere. Reasonably priced drinks. Glad we finally did it! (Refresher Train)

The River Train is nice! I just wish it had more river along the route and wasn’t so short. The farmland looked great too! We highly recommend the Boba Tea Train and the Christmas train! You can also rent carts and do that as a date. It’s super fun!

Enjoyed the experience as a very unique and fun way to spend an evening. We took the Murder Mystery dinner package and were quite pleased with the booth in an old time diner car that is in very good condition. The staff were all friendly and attentive, and there was a warm bread basket and cold water waiting when we arrived at our assigned seating. Soon one of the cast members came out and introduced himself as the "saloon owner" which was fun. I was a little surprised that drinks, including non-alcoholic, were not included in the $189 PP ticket. Soon the salad plate arrived and was good but quite skimpy. Then the murder mystery show had the first act consisting of a cast of 5 and my only suggestion is that they should have had mics on so that everything could be heard as they moved in the car. Their costumes were good and bravo for the character that bravely sung 3 songs A capella with a fine voice. After the first act the main course was served and though palatable was not extraordinary, but hey this is on a moving train so it was great. Soon the final act played out and we were invited to figure out who the killer was. We guessed wrong, in fact only one couple got it right and they won a bottle of wine. Desert was a decent cheesecake and as the 2 1/2 hour experience came to an end the cast and crew all greeted us as we left. I docked one star for the poor audio and lukewarm dinner, but it was still good and we enjoyed the experience.
