Intimate (aka small) in size, but definitely not in flavor and vibe! Was REALLY impressed with our meal!

First time visit last night, excellent food and service. I grew up about 3 blocks away on King Street and my grandparents lived on the corner of main and 19th. The burger was very good and had a interesting flavor which both of us enjoyed. For sure check it out!

Hi there! This place has been a bit of a magical place for my now fiancé and I. We had our first anniversary here and it was incredible. The service, the atmosphere and especially the food. Everyone is kind, friendly, and conversational. By the time the next year rolled around we knew where we wanted to spend our second anniversary and came right on back. It was the 28th of April and as we were going through the specials with the waiter an older gentleman siting a booth away shot his warm voice over and exclaimed how amazing the starter special was. I chatted with him and as the date progressed he offered to take pictures of us, complimented my lovely then girlfriend, and was overall a joy. The waiter came back around and we weren’t getting appetizers—straight into entrees but I ordered the special the man recommended foolishly without realizing that it was a starter and switched my order to the amazing chile shrimp pasta with arugula dish. The man noticed this and smoothly moved to the waiter out of the corner of my eye and before I knew it we had the starter special. It was as good as the man exclaimed. I was going to go offer to buy the man a drink or perhaps chat with him further when he put on his cap and left for the evening. After an amazing time (to be expected when you come here) the waiter announced that the owner had comped our drinks as well. To you sir, whom I assume are the owner of Restore Public House. Thank you very much for such a wonderful evening. You have an amazing place that genuinely seems to have everything a restaurant should be about: good food and good people. I want you to know I proposed that night in your restaurant and she said yes!! I’m hoping your influence spreads wide and who knows? Might have to make anniversaries at Restore Public House a tradition.

We had a wonderful date night at Restore Public House! The food was the highlight of the experience and is easily one of the best, if not the best, dinner we have had in LaX. We started with the masala potato dish and it was so flavorful. I got the sirloin and it was cooked perfectly - one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. My husband got the spaghetti and it was outstanding. Our cocktails were delicious! The service and ambiance were spectacular. 10/10 recommend.

*the steak was 1/2 eaten at the time I took the picture

We went to Restore Public House for date night and we were delighted with the experience. The building is smaller, but cozy and had great energy. Our server (so sorry I don’t remember their name, Saturday the 18th) was knowledgeable and super helpful, even giving us a few recommendations for a post dinner hang out.

We started with the house old fashioned and the tequila cranberry drink, both were great with balanced flavor profiles and not sweet.

We then had the Shaved Brussels appetizer, which we dug into before I snapped a picture. My husband even enjoyed it even though he’s not a Brussel sprout fan.

I had the Seared Scallops and my husband had the Alaskan Halibut. Presentation was beautiful and flavors were on point. We would both get these dishes again.

Dessert was the s’mores cheesecake (which we also dove into before a photo) and oooohhhh man. You should definitely get it.

Great overall experience and we’ll definitely visit again!

I have dinned here many times and am always beyond happy with the service, atmosphere, and food. I know the owner and their family personally and they are incredible people. The menu here has always been reasonable and had a large variety of options. I went for dinner the day before new year's eve and had made the reservations online (I would normally call but they weren't open that early in the morning, which is totally understandable). When we got there and were seated it was lovely, our sever was so sweet and polite and the whole place was so cozy. Our waiter gave us our menus and said that they had a set menu tonight with four courses. I was a little surprised since I was looking forward to getting one of my usuals and maybe a dessert but there was no time where we were told the price of the set menu. Online it has many photos of the menu which were similar to one's I had seen before and the estimate per person (from 49 people according to google) was 30-50 per person, which is what i have experienced in the past. We glanced over the set menu options and they all looked good so we decided to stay. Once we got to the second course I commented that it was odd we had not been told the price of the meal and there were no prices on the menu, but we assumed it would reasonable, something around 50-60 per person (epecially considering how small all the portions were). At the end of the meal we received the bill and it was 85 per person! For a two person dinner plus tax it came out to 179.83! While i am aware this is a higher end restaurant, and the food was delicious, it seemed excessive to charge 85 per person with no mention of that high ticket price before we had already finished. With tip and all it came out to 209 and some change, which was nearly double what I was hoping to spend, since I was expecting to have my own choice of what to order (my usual bill is around 100+tip). Needless to say I was not impressed with the communication and felt quite betrayed by a place that is supposed to be elevated comfort foods. I'm sure I will be back again, but will just have to make the extra effort to call and ask about the menu ahead of time, which seems a bit extra. Overall the dining experience and food was fantastic, just disappointed in the sour taste left after getting the unexpectedly high bill.

Very overrated for what, I am not sure. Excellent service 👏 from beginning to end. Drink was delicious (something blue). Although I only had one drink, I could still taste it on my tongue the next morning (obviously made with rail). Nor a good idea for a place with good status. The food was tasteless and not eatable for me to eat. The mashed potatoes are made from a box. We won't even do that at afuneral. Do better people! Yuck!

Everything about this place was pretty incredible. To be fair it was empty when I went but in the top 3 restaurants of lacrosse easily.

Service was super fast and nice.

I had the beets and the striploin. Top notch. Cooked perfectly and the chef even came out to ask how it was which was super cool - that itself puts it in the top, simple thing to do when it's slow. Going back in a few weeks for the spaghetti and Brussel sprouts for sure.

Whiskey selection is pretty big too.

Only con is 2 hour parking but you hopefully won't be there that long anyways cuz they're so fast.

Go up
