We stayed here in late March 2025. I was worried what a cabin would be like for us and it exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was fully loaded. We grilled outside and sat at the picnic table. There was a fire pit that we didn't use but it looked pretty cool. We brought our own Weber Jumbo Joe grill just in case and we ended up using that instead of the grill supplied with every cabin. We couldn't rent a boat at the nearby marina. They we're badly damaged by ice during the winter. They indicated to me that they would be renting boats in a couple weeks from now, so we just missed it. Fishing off the shore was not good at Rend Lake as well as the rest of the lakes in the area. I think we were a little early for the spring spawn. Jesse who runs the place was very good. He was very interested in making sure that we were having a good time. He took care of a few issues that came up very quickly. I'm looking forward to my next trip to this place. We might go a little later in the spring though.

We stayed at cabin #10 Sept 4-6. It was just what we expected. It was just as it looked in the photos. Nice and clean, fully stocked with the essentials. We really enjoyed the front porch and back deck. We had the king bedroom, very comfortable, however the bed was a bit hard to get into for these arthritic 75 & 77 year olds! I would definitely stay there again!

We rented the Licata house for our kids and grandkids to come visit us for a weekend. When we walked in there was water leaking from around the faucet and it was about 2 1/2 feet from the faucet so we dried it and called to let them know. The lighting in the dining/living room area was very poor at night. The hall toilet had to be messed with almost every time we flushed it. The float kept getting stuck and the tank would not fill up. Was told by people that rented a month ago and had the same toilet problem. We called about the sink and someone came out and said they would be out the next day and never showed. The gazebo was filthy and we would not use it. The pool was very dirty and I cleaned the skimmer as soon as we got there. Before using we used the net to clean the debris off the bottom. The pool deck has a lot of rotten wood and needs to be replaced. Definitely not worth the 395 per nite and will not recommend that house. The worst part was the ticks we all pulled off of us. I had 5 in one night. 9 month old and 6 year old had multiple ticks on them plus the other 6 adults. We have been working on hiking and bike trails here at Rend lake for almost 3 month have have never had that many ticks on us.

so sad! had a wonderful experience last year when we stayed in a different cabin. this year we decided to get the stone house so we would have the pool for all the kids. only one toilet out of 4 worked properly. one was caving into the floor. another was wobbly from side to side and leaned towards one side. the sauna didn't work ( the teenagers were looking forward to this the most). The downstairs shower and main level tub were extremely slow drain along with two sinks. hot water only in basement, And dirty throughout entire house with cobwebs hanging in some places. My sister spoke with owner prior to check in and none of these issues were mentioned. During our stay we tried to contact owner twice with no response. After we finally found him and made contact he let us know that he was aware of the issues. no discount or refund was offered. over $2,000 was spent on this stay with them, making coming up with another place to stay financiallychallenging. unacceptable!

We have stayed at Rend Lake Cabin in the woods at least 4 times. We love this place. The Amazing Grace cabin is the best wheelchair accessible cabin I have ever been to. It even has medical equipment available to help with your daily needs. The owners are such wonderful people! They try so very hard to make your stay PERFECT. We will be coming back for years to come!

Really loved my stay with them. The cabins were very well kept and clean. They had everything we needed to enjoy a great weekend. The service was great, they are very kind folks. Jesse made booking so easy. I would highly recommend booking with them. We will certainly will again!

We enjoyed our stay. They had the best appointed kitchen as far as utensils and pans and bowls. Love the big deck . We played domino's and ate out there.
All 4 of us were all over 65. I would suggest a hand hold or bar for getting into and out of the bathtub /shower. 🛀 I opted to come home unbathed for concern I might fall.
We would consider staying there again.

Had a wonderful relaxing weekend. Everything was clean. Love being close to the Rend Lake about 5 minutes. Will be visiting again.
