My wife went in for angioplasty. Upon arrival, the waiting room had standing room only at 6am. They then herded us out into the hallway pointing and telling us what room to go to.
My wife ended up having a stent put in. She then went to room 324.
This room was disgusting! Stains on the floor, bed, IV stand, Wrappers, a pen, her food tray top look like someone put wallpaper on it that was coming off! The bathroom was filthy and the floor look as if it hadn't been cleaned in over a week! When housekeeping came in, they cleaned the bathroom floor however, still really bad! For a heart ward in a hospital, I am surprised my wife did not get some type of infection!

my daughter was taken into this emergency room following a major vehicle accident.
I arrived at the hospital about 30 minutes after she did as I had a 45 minute drive.
They gave her nothing for shock, they did not cover her in a blanket to keep her warm, they gave her Toradol which has been discontinued, including the generic, I never once saw the doctor.
They did x-rays and CT scans of her head neck chest and abdomen as well as her arm and not once did the doctor come in to reassure us of their findings. Only the nurse came. When my daughter‘s pain became too excruciating I asked the nurse for pain meds, it took almost 20 minutes and rather than give her an actual pain medication she only gave her the Toradol anti-inflammatory.
The hospital staff was rude, unprofessional, and the emergency room itself is very unsanitary. There were biohazard bags full of dirty laundry Lining the hallways.
At one point they left a bed with dirty linens sitting in the hallway outside my daughter’s room, across from a gentleman who had an open wound where he had just had a large cyst lanced on his face.
He was an elderly gentleman and only his wife was with him an hour earlier he had asked them for pain medication, which he never received. Before draining the cyst the nurse gave him lidocaine but did not allow time for the lidocaine to take affect. She hurt him so badly that he had to make her stop after about 10 minutes of draining. I approached them and held the man’s hand and instructed him to breathe As a woman does when giving birth. The nurse asked me if I was family, I told her no I’m just another nurse I’m here with my daughter, to which she responded “you have to get out of here you cannot be here.”
She finally lanced the cyst but did nothing to irrigate the wound and they gave him nothing but Toradol for pain medication.
Toradol being a very powerful NSAID, should never be given when there’s severe bleeding.
I went to the nurses station at one point and asked them to remove all of the soiled linen bags and the linens off of the bed and clean the bed in the hallway.
It took about a half an hour before the bed was cleaned and the cleaning lady Flopped the sheets all around spreading germs through the air with no concern for what she was doing.
An hour later a young gentleman came to empty the biohazard soiled linen bags but instead of taking them around the corner to the linen room he simply pulled the bag up out of the framing and shook it Down enough to tie it spread spreading germs again all throughout the hallways among the patients.
Even upon discharge my daughter was given nothing for pain, she was told to take ibuprofen which cannot be taken within at least 30 hours of a Toradol injection, because it can cause intestinal bleeding and tearing of the upper and lower intestine. I found this hospital staff to be extremely unprofessional, While Hannah my daughter‘s nurse was friendly enough she was not competent. And we never saw the doctor again before we left the hospital. My daughter saw him when she first arrived long enough for him to order an x-ray and do a quick exam on her. After that we never saw him again. My daughter arrived at the hospital at 8:40 PM I arrived at 9:10 PM and we didn’t leave the hospital until 1:30 AM. Upon going to the nurses station all they were doing was standing around talking laughing playing on their phones and chitchatting amongst themselves. One was sitting in a computer looked like she was playing a video game. If I could I would give this hospital rating a zero. And I will be contacting the head of the ER department first thing Monday morning.
I literally watched many patients sit there for three and four hours and never see a doctor. It’s the most disgraceful display of medical care I have ever witnessed in the state of Alabama

Absolutely the worst ER experience we've ever had. We waited over 5 hours while my wife was in serious pain. We asked multiple times for an IV or any kind of pain relief—no one came. I even went to the lobby to follow up, and my wife asked again herself, but we were completely ignored. It’s unacceptable to treat patients this way, especially those in obvious distress. This ER is severely understaffed or just indifferent. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

Six hours waiting is absolutely ridiculous. This hospital operates likes a chaotic mess. No sense of urgency for patients. To busy socializing with each other instead of handling business.

My daughter had a same day surgery today at Rmc… very skeptical because of the current reviews I’ve seen plus my father passed away at this hospital 7 years ago(no fault on the facility) but it was very pleasant. Staff was GREAT!!!!! Very informative, friendly and considerate! No issues with cleanliness, No issues at ALL!Everybody experience is different and people don’t give good ones enough. As a parent I would like to say THANK YOU SO much for caring for my child, keeping me informed and just making this experience as smooth as possible!!!!! The NURSES, (Can’t remember NAMES) WERE STUNNING! Whoever is reading this find out which nurses had her and Give those nurse there credit surgery was 3/10 @ 130 Dr davis FIND THEM and let them know they are GREAT! Thank y’all SO MUCH!!!!!

One more star than they actually deserve, but it wouldn’t let Me put zero star. This hospital is the worst hospital I’ve ever attended in my entire life due to the fact of multiple times, but the most recent being my one and a half year-old son coming in with breathing problems and respiratory Issues going on only to sit there three hours start an examination and then the doctor called and her never showed back up. Had to drive 45 minutes away to a different hospital., That actually gave a crap! do not go to this hospital, especially if this life-threatening.! They are not urgent about anything here

My father was in ICU for 2 weeks. They moved him to a regular room when he was not ready and the day after they moved him to a regular room I walked in and the room was empty. I thought he had died. Come to find out they moved him to a nursing home without telling anyone. Just one of many screw-ups from RMC hospital. As of right now they are trying to charge me double for my emergency room visit even though my insurance company has already paid them. They are breaking the law by trying to double charge. Lawsuit will be pending. This hospital should not even be in business
