This is the only guide we would recommend when visiting the Redwood Forrests.
Justin Legge will show you places and provide history that will make this a one of a kind experience. Justin's love for the area is infections!
We recently toured with Justin in 2022. Our friend Glenda was granted a wish of a lifetime to visit the Redwood Forrests.
Justin catered to Glenda's needs and abilities. He was the perfect guide for us!

Justin was a treasury trove of knowledge on everything redwoods and ecology and his passion, devotion and commitment to achieving natural balance of life”s ecosystems was beyond amazing. We had an awesome experience with Justin because he is very knowledgeable about the giant redwoods and so caring and kind - and spiritual in his presentation. He is fun and energetic and was totally flexible in accommodating our family of 21. He taught us about what we could see and feel, the botany and the ecology, and also what we couldn't see - the underground connections and the history, politics, and economy of the redwoods' story. After an exhilarating hike in amazing grandeur and beauty, Justin leaves you with a new love and appreciation of our precious old growth redwoods.

Justin is amazing! We have made multiple trips to the Redwoods, each time hiring Justin to take us out into the forest. He has an extensive knowledge of the flora, fauna and geology which brings the Redwoods alive. Our children were captivated by his engaging personality, knowledge and hands on engagement with the natural world. As a result we had a "pet" banana slug at home. I can highly recommend him to anyone looking for a Redwoods guide.

My father, my 8yo son, and myself booked a private tour of the Redwoods with Justin. He did a great job of selecting a hike that fit our group and catered to my son’s 8yo mind of exploration. If you want to understand more than just the grandeur of the forests, book a tour with Justin!

We did a guided tour of the redwoods with Justin with our children and it was incredible! We were repeatedly fascinated by all that we learned and our kids were very much engaged. His passion and knowledge were the highlight of our trip and brought the forest to life in a way that will forever be etched in us all.

Justin is an incredible combination of unending knowledge, infectious joy, and incredible grounding. He eloquently gifts his love of nature and the redwoods in digestible, fascinating tidbits, yet allowing for moments of silence and awe to take in all that is around. The balance of our tour with him - from jokes and fun, to quick dives into industries driven by/affecting the forests, to how the redwoods got to be (both naturally, and the park protecting them) - was fascinating. He was very well organized and made planning for our giant family (from age 27-85) seamless. We cannot thank you enough, Justin, for bringing us such joy and appreciation.

Once in awhile, you come across a person who is so passionate about his job that his enthusiasm becomes contagious. That, in a nutshell, is what it was like to get to know our Redwoods tour guide, Justin Legge.

Justin is a naturalist who is literally a walking encyclopedia of knowledge about the fascinating place called The Redwoods. He identifies trees, plants, and critters big and small with the precision of a neuroscientist identifying parts of the brain. Yet, the way he talks about all of these things - it's like they are part of his extended family. Many times we heard him exclaim "Ohhhh! Look at THIS! This is really SPECIAL!!!" - and he means it! There are certain species that are found only in this area.

We have a 5 year old daughter and this was her first time learning about the Redwoods. Justin was the perfect person to get our city girl excited about nature. He went above and beyond the call of duty. He emailed us links to YouTube videos of some of the things he taught us about, he made a little "nature journal" for our daughter so she could write down some of the things that interested her, and he genuinely delighted in her own little discoveries along the way. He also taught all of us valuable lessons about nature conservation and proper stewardship of the land we call home.

Justin is a gem - he is indeed a rare find in the world of tourism. DEFINITELY book tours with this company and ASK FOR HIM!!!
