I don’t even have words to describe how wonderful and family friendly this mountain is. It’s the perfect size for a family and learning young skiers. The adventure camps and private lessons have consistently been great year after year! Adam (snowboarding) and Kent (skiing) were outstanding coaches and teachers for my 3-8 year old boys. EVERYONE from Kat in the ski school admin, the incredible rentals department dudes, the lovely ladies at concessions, and the Mountain View bar bartenders are kind, generous and lovely. Truly can’t say enough great things about this location! Also- the food at concessions was delicious!!!

I came here with only 1.5hrs to go before closing, and the staff was so incredibly kind and gave me a refund on my rental skis bc i brought my own boots and they didnt think it was worth paying so much for so little time. I didnt have much time to explore the mountain, but I had a good time, and i definitely plan to come back & get to more trails

Edit: I came back and the mountain has more than enough trails to explore and at a slightly more affordable price point than some of the other mountains. I recommend!

Went in very late December and they had just around a half dozen trails which was still a good amount for half a day of skiing (was a rainy morning but cleared up beautifully)
Was a simple process to get tickets with the Indy Pass, lodge was small and cozy in vibe but still a decent selection for lunch with prices being fine for a ski resort
Loved the trails despite how few were open and the lifts were quite nice and quick as well

Boston’s favorite realtor here. Listen don’t get me wrong, this is no top-tier mountain or anything, but if you come with realistic expectations than it checks all of the boxes. The boxes for me is, it’s close to Boston, it offers multiple black diamond and double black diamond trails, family friendly for those young ones learning to ski, and the lines are not nearly as bad as some of the other resorts in the area. Also, if I wanted to tack on an extra hour drive to the two hours, there are other mountains I would choose in VT and deeper into NH. Lift ticket price is also fair compared to the outrageous prices at some of the other mountains. I would say if you’re looking for something that offers a bit of everything that is affordable and close to Boston than this would be my top choice. Also, I put my daughter into a private one on one ski lesson and the instructor was absolutely amazing. His name was Charles and he gave us so much information even after the two hour private lesson and was very gracious with his time and additional insight into how to help my daughter grow as a skier. Now go shred the gnar 🤘🏻

We visited on 2/23/2025 on Indy Pass. This place exceeded our expectations in pretty much every way. Of course we did pick a time when they had lots of snow so nearly 100% was open. Trails were really fun - a mix of nice groomed runs, some easier natural trails, and some nice gnarly bumps and trees. Lifts ran smoothly. I really appreciate that they had someone running the lift maze almost the entire time; it goes so much more smoothly. We barely waited in line even in the busiest parts of the day. There was plenty of room in the lodge to enjoy lunch, no jamming your elbows into someone when you're taking a bite of your sandwich. This mountain really checks a lot of boxes for a great classic New England resort.

Is it the biggest? Most challenging? Fanciest? Closest to the highway? No on all counts, but most importantly we plan on coming back because of it. The folks at Ragged just deliver a simple and fun skiing experience.

This is a great mid-sized ski resort. When we visited terrain was pretty limited due to bad weather, but the full potential of the mountain is easily visible. They do a great job making snow to compensate for the relatively low elevation compared to other NH or VT resorts. Lift lines were short to manageable even on a holiday weekend. Ample parking, even if there had been quite a few more people in attendance. There's a great variety of terrain for beginners, experts, and everyone in between. Good dining options on-site as well. The only downside is there's no night skiing. I'd be happy to go back and would expect it to be top-tier after any good snowfall.

Ragged mountain is one of my favorite places to ski. There are many, easy wide open trails as well as some tougher and narrower glades. The lines aren't too long and everyone there is so nice. The food is delicious and overall a good lodge experience. I would recommend going here!

Had a great day out with the guys snowboarding at Ragged. Parking was easy and the staff was helpful.

At the 6 person lift Owen was incredible with getting people onto the chairlift. He had great energy the whole day and made our day. Definitely will be back!
