Radisson Hotel Santa Maria - Santa Maria, California

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had, even compared to budget motels I’ve stayed at in Los Angeles. We booked a suite on the 3rd floor, and the condition of the room was absolutely unacceptable.

The moment we walked in, the floor was covered in what looked like pet pee stains, making the entire space feel dirty. On top of that, the room reeked of cigarette smoke, despite being a non-smoking room. The bathroom was falling apart – literally. Pieces of the wall were all over the floor, and it looked like no one had bothered to clean it or even fix it properly.

The couch was covered in stains, making it impossible to sit on without feeling disgusted. To make matters worse, the pillows weren’t even full-size, just these small, uncomfortable things that felt cheap and inadequate. We were hoping to relax in the jacuzzi, but guess what? It was broken and completely out of order, something they didn’t even bother to mention beforehand.

Things only got worse. Tonight, as I walked into the lobby, water poured down on my head from a leak in the ceiling. They eventually put a bucket and sign out, but it was too little, too late. The entire place feels neglected, dirty, and unhygienic.

Now, I’m seriously concerned about bed bugs because I’ve felt itchy since I got here. Honestly, this place is falling apart, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It’s dirty, disgusting, and completely mismanaged.

Stay far away from this hotel – you’ll thank yourself later!

Positive: "" Negative: Was supposed to have a king bed but it seemed like it was a queen turned on its side. I'm 5'9 and my feet were hanging off the end. After sleeping there noticed the floor was dirty, cup warmer under the bed, and a stained bed skirt. Gross!

STAY AWAY UNTIL Dec 2025!
Stopped in just for a nights sleep. After being told there were no king rooms, I said we had just checked the website AND booking .com and both showed available. They told us to book online. While I was looking it up on my phone, they “found” one room. After going thru the checkin, they say “oh, by the way, we are doing major construction and they start at 7 am”. Joy! Then we get to our room To see that they placed us as close to the construction site as humanly possible. Exactly at 7, the workers met outside our door for a pow wow before beginning their LOUD work. Would have just liked to have been told this BEFORE going thru the check in process.

Terrible, if you could think of everything wrong with a hotel this would be it. If this radisson had a million bad reviews I am one, if this radisson had 1 bad review it would be me, if this radisson had no bad reviews it's because I was dead. I'm never staying here again.

My stay at this hotel on Sept. 2024 was the worst experience I've ever had in any hotel. The airconditioner did not work, the microwave did not work, and the refrigerator made such a loud noise I had to unplug it. The water did not work in the bathroom sink. The shower head did not work and was literally about to fall off the the wall. The tub faucet worked but also was about to fall off. I told management down at the front desk, and all they did was apologize. I asked for a new room but they said none were available. I told them that I am a Gold member and will never stay at this hotel again. I even sent an email to corporate and all they did was say that they were sorry and hoped to see me again soon.?

Positive: Nothing Negative: Very old. Air conditioner did not work in room. Screen Door to balcony fell off track when I opened it. Room was dirty and in need of updates. Very shabby looking. Stains on carpets and furniture.

Horrible experience we were approached by a man in a bullet proof vest with a knife telling us not to stay at the hotel. He stated there was roaches bed bugs and cameras hidden in hotel the man was very odd. We reported to the front desk and management did nothing about it we were promised complementary breakfast for the inconvenience ?‍♀️ which didn’t happen. Manager told us he was taking care of the situation and will update us. We never heard or seen him again we would have left the hotel but all nearby hotels were sold out. We live 3 hours away

We were doing a California coastal road trip and stayed here along the way. Great value for the quality of room you receive. I was very satisfied.
